The HIBY R3 I- Removed info on Earlier R3 Versions - Added R3 II Specifications

I am specifically interested in iso dst, not usual dsd, it's the Sony codec for DSD, so out of the sacd envelope, it would read dst64 or dst128, like that, that 2018 R3 would play it.. From what I read here anachronously! I have never seen anything else that plays these files other then proprietary Sony sacd machines, normal sacd containing dsd64 or whatever are dsf or dff files..so I am hoping this R3 ii will do it..I mean, I saw that the original R3 would do it, I can't unsee that.

I doubt any R3 will ever manage that decompression operation, have you looked at decompressing DST to DSF or DFF on a computer first?

I tried to play an SACD iso file as a test for you. The R3 Pro does see the individual tracks (with no metadata) but will not actually play them.

The R3 Pro can play stereo SACD .iso files, but not multichannel.

It will play them if what's inside the sacd is regular dsd, not dst... My R3 Sabre pro is now nearly unusable for streaming, as it hangs and restarts constantly on Tidal, does anyone know a fix for that? Thanks to all who have replied..

I don't know how to tell if an SACD .iso is DST or not (other than multichannel). Sorry if I wasn't any help. I have a few other .iso if I can test further.

Don't take your time on it, it is not going to work, I need to deal with it on a computer and just put dsd files on my device. Thanks for helping out, it's good of you..

have you checked for online updates recently? Ya says up to date vers 2.2, maybe rollback to 1.7? I don't know.. I like my R3 Sabre but it hangs and restarts every 5 minutes on Tidal and MSEB sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, little things like that, maybe reinstall v2. 2 by sd card?

Is Hiby planning to update the Tidal implementation to include Tidal Max? If there is a firmware update coming please look at the UPNP/DLNA feature. I'm not sure if this was introduced in a firmware update but it's really close to unusable at this point (and it never was very compatible). Maybe there is an update (or bug fix) that can help?

I can tell only from my usage experience, that R3II is playing Tidal quite well. The interface itself is horrible - it required a lot of polishing to be usable, however tracks itself it plays well IF your Wi-Fi is good enough
