Only in this 2 scenario's I don't get sound out of my X5's HO:
 

• the jackplug from my amp is still in LO, when I put the jackplug from my iem/headphone in HO there's no sound
• the volume of X5 is put to 0. LO gives max volume anyway
   

Otherwise I always have sound out of HO...

That must really suck. As noted above I was caught off guard when I had my e12 plugged in to line out and then tried to plug my headphones in to the HO and I heard no sound. I quickly figured out that LO overrides HO.

How old is your unit that your HO died?

Why not try a reset with a pin, then if not fixed a re-install of firmware with a factory reset after it.  Sometimes these things are not hardware but software issues.  Easier than returning it to China if it works.

Yep....I'm afraid you have to say goodbye to this HO jack...

Are there no overseas distributers that can repair the X5?  Must we send it all the way back to China?

if your store has a nice policy, they will give you one new, and send your to repair.. it should be in the purchase contract.
