Just wondering, how does Fiio's warranty work again?

Last I checked,

You must first purchase from authorized dealer to get warranty. This was in their previous warranty statement. They have since replaced it. Not sure if this holds sure or not
http://fiio.net/aid/warranty.aspx

New ones i here.

I've spoken to FiiO about warranty in the past. Their unofficial policy is that they will try to help you to the best of their ability. They are known for helping people even those that didn't buy from authorized, those that bought fakes, and in shipping out free DIY replacement parts and accessories.

+1
I think I bought mine a week ago.

Hopefully I can join in soon :)

Thanks man, that was why I decided to just stick with local shops and hope that they are throwing in good deals too (none for X3 so far)

I had a little trouble with this firmware update as well, no trouble with any of the previous ones, but i finally got it. Make sure that the only thing on the card from the download is the firmware update file only, plus whatever music files are already on there because yes, you can have music files on the card and still do a firmware update. What I'm talking about is the other things that come on the firmware download like the USB DAC stuff. I think there are five different things in total in the zip file. Unzip the file and transfer only the firmware upgrade to your card which should be the last of the five things on the list. That should work.

Thank you very much, this worked perfectly first time....

So I still have that popping problem that was supposedly fixed, according to FW 2.1. I thought that maybe I have an improper computer configuration. So I tried looking around this thread:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/638448/serious-popping-clicking-with-usb-dac/

I took out all of my other USB devices, changed/removed drivers, disabling Aero...and none of it worked. I'm at a loss of what to do here. This popping only happens in USB DAC mode. So it's not an issue with my IEM's. I don't know what to change. I'm going back to using my Headroom Desktop Amp. The X3 DAC sounds good, but I'm constantly in an paranoid mode thinking to myself, "Is it going to pop? Did I finally fix it?!" Any plans from Fiio to optimize the USB DAC mode further? I'd rather not spend all weekend trying to fix this.

Try looking at results from LatencyMon as well? Also might be a conflict with antivirus programs.

I'm not sure if this is how LatencyMon is supposed to be run, but I started it and kept it running while I played music. It started off fine at first, but then I got the following results:

Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

Check if your HDD controllers are running in AHCI mode.

Check if your HDD controllers are running in AHCI mode.

They are. Is that bad? I think I set it to that a while back so that my SSD could run optimally or something like that.

Trying to figure out and resolve dpc latency can be an uber PITA. Lots of possibilities ti what is causing the issue. Make a check list and go 1 by 1. You might even give up in the end. Good luck. If you do figure it out, be sure to come back with a detailed explanation so others with similar issues can try their luck.

I already have the latest BIOS version. I don't think uninstalling Microsoft Security Essentials is going to fix this. So I'll try looking around Control Panel and BIOS settings to see if I can change some settings to fix this.

You might want to post your computer's specs; might help in narrowing down the causes for such latency issues

On the contrary, it is good. IDE mode would be bad.
Are your music files on an internal HDD/SSD?

My OS is running on an internal SSD and my files are on a separate HDD. I don't know if this is of any concern, but I have my SSD running on this card:

My motherboard doesn't come with SATAIII so I got that. I don't think it's able to run at full SATAIII speeds, but it's able to run faster than direct motherboard connection.
