Nothing is confirmed at all .. just speculation at this point. We will probably have to wait until the CES show next month.

  I just bought my X3 .. I didn't want to wait for the new model as mostly I did not want the scroll wheel that the new one apparently has. Besides .. I cannot hear over 10 or 12 KHz.

 
I am a big fan of scroll wheel in X1. I find it very handy while traversing through my song list.

Can't all this about the possible X3k go on another thread? I like to talk about the X3 itself here. If the X3k is going to have a scroll wheel, I wouldn't like it anyway as the main reason I bought my X3 was because it had nothing touch sensitive.

And I think I realized the X3K too late. I've only had my X3 for 3-4 months now, if the K gonna be released, I think I'll need to sell my X3 first 

That is if the quality difference is worth all the trouble though. Who knows

Ok. I still prefer the feeling of having buttons to press though as it is what I am used to.

Such fun to have firmware upgrades issuing forth from FiiO, especially as a Christmas present!  I just upgraded, and my anticipation of using the new features is like opening a new FiiO all over again!

yes i agree with you about buttons I prefer them more than touch stuff nowadays.. specially if i have them in my pocktes, that why i am eyeing a sony walkman A10 series (buttons babe)

New X3 user here, running on FW 3.24 beta (factory settings); need some major help with the micro SD card.
 
The device says 'TF card not found' whenever the external storage is selected. I'm using a SanDisk Ultra 32GB Class 10, formatted in FAT32. 
When the card is removed or re-inserted, it says 'External SD card removed/ inserted' as the case may be. Once I got the card read, the 'About X3' setting showed the card as having entire 29.7GB as available, whereas I already had about 5GB of music in folders copied into it as a trial.

Edit: before doing that, make sure you update the library manually in the settings. If the songs still don't show, then do the following.

Did you use the X3 to format the card? If not, go do that. Then load some music up.
