I neither have Galaxy S series nor iPhone, but I double any smartphone will have as tight a spec as X3. I have a BBK Vivo X1, a purpose built audiophile smartphone from China ( and being praised as one of the best sounding smartphone), and I don't think X3 is anything lesser in comparison.

True, that's why I said in previous post that as customizable as RockBox can be, it could do better if it take a modular approach.

As mentioned, FiiO is not allowed to release any code. The headphone jack on X3 is the new type, I believe.

The only edge that a phone like the Galaxy S4 would have over the X3 is USB audio out for DACs like the HifiMeDIY Sabre, UD100, and the Fiio E7 (I've tried the E7, it works like a charm!) but after a DAC and amp, it will be as thick as the X3 and have worse battery life, but also has Last.FM Scrobbling, and internet radio.

So all in all...it's safe to assume that this is an awesome product that FiiO put out...especially for the money. That's great!

so far the initial feedback of X3 is released and it seems X3 is very good DAPs, and good combo with X10, HD598, XBA30 and some other IEMs, also some used it to drive HD600, lol.
 
the mass production will be start on 25th. hope we can delivery some to U.S, Taiwang, Hong Kong on time.

Im sorry if this has already been mention but am I correct in thinking the US release date is June with the UK coming later?

not , it will be very difficult to us to provide world wide service when there are any warranty issues.

not sure whether it is suitable to say the object test data of ipod classic in here, but depend on the specification which done by AP, iPod is lost in everything . of course, iPod Classic is very great product , UI, ID, build quality, battery life, fast response .

I for one am ready to trade my ipod and amp stack for this. I need something more pocketable that won't make me have to live on cup noodles for weeks past purchase.
