Awesome impressions! Sounds like the Terra really nails that balance between fun and technical. I love when a set can adapt across genres without falling apart. That "fast, elastic" bass you mentioned definitely has me curious—did you find yourself reaching for these more often than your other sets over the two weeks?
Yeah, I did! Except when I wanted that big bass presence, then I went for Punch :fire:

Final AliExpress haul finally showed up today. two XINHS cables [including the H04 that I got just for the RED SP01 that also arrived today!] Sadly I got the MAROON cable which is darker than I was hoping, so it's not a Great color match for the SP01, but oh well... it's sure a CLASSY cable.

Have the SP01 in my ears... on the H04 cable and the newer Azla crystal tips [dang it was hard to find tips that worked well... the SP01 shells are small and slightly odd-angled, so be prepared to TIP ROLL!]

I'm hearing maybe a SLIGHT glaze on the vocals, [not necessarily a bad thing] but WOW the bass is so deep and impactful, and the treble SPARKLY. This is indeed an AMAZING set. I almost wonder if it's a true upgrade to the CCA Trio... done with just 1 driver! It's not burnt in yet, but while I think the Wan'er 2 will still be better in vocals, the SP01 will win in bass punch and treble tuning. I haven't tried the clear or warm tips, I don't think they will suit me [both have less bass then the Balanced tips?]

While I'm upset about the whole tariff situation, honestly my collection is FIRE now, and I can certainly sit back and enjoy my music, and take my time rating the IEMs... and maybe even writing longer reviews for them. That being said... any deals on Amazon I should know about before local stock runs out? haha.

My single DD Goat has a new name: 634ears Loak2-TX04 (prototype)

noice, TX04 is my baby. That bass just propels the entire frequency range man, it’s so good but unfatiguing.

UPS is struggling to deliver my new DX180, lets hope finally arrives today or tomorrow 😩

Depending on sources, the bass is not that overwhelming, but remains present, yes. I am amazed by the right and realistic
vocals/mids presentation and overall tuning

Guys there's some kinda wizardly going on here... I literally canNOT take these out of my ears! They have me spell-bound. Everything I'm hearing them play in their burn-in session just sounds stunning. sub-bass hits hard, but doesn't take over the music. I think the mids could use a bit more clarity, but that's a NITpick and honestly, they probably need more burn-in anyway.

This thread keeps me interested in so many sets! On my radar right now:
  • Timsok TS-316
  • ISN H60
  • Kiwi Ears x HBB Punch
  • Dunu DK3001BD (BrainDance)
  • I/O Audio Volare
  • Dita Audio Mecha (though out of my budget)
  • Upcoming Dita Audio Prelude
I recently sold my almost-new Shanling ME600 to make room and budget for something new. Right now I’m mostly hesitating between the Volare (I might have a good deal lined up) and the DK3001BD.

Use Azla Crystal OG tips, a silver or palladium cable, and the Clear nozzle, and the SP01 sings with clarity, shimmer and air, but also warmth from the bass.

Hope they deliver ASAP, and that you enjoy the DX180 thoroughly. Let us know how it is?

Can't go wrong with either choice, but if you're a mid bass or warm midrange lover, then skip the Brain Dance. ISN H60 has clean warm midrange and mid bass energy. Volare? Never heard it, but I trust @bithalver and @nikbr 's take on them. It's really good.

What's crazy is that Legion is crazy comfortable in ear. It's definitely on the bigger size but not quite the largest I've ever put in my ear (Rhapsodio v3 or Mousa are near the top). Aegis is definitely way smaller and more comfortable to the ear. Figured I'd do a quick show and tell on that, though, since it really is quite noticeable

Chonky IEMs??

EE Raven would like to have a word…

My daily trio quad for 05/01/2025. Started the day with several hours listening to jazz albums with the Dita Project M + Hiby R3 II (untethered), then Sony NW-A306 + Cayin Ru6, and I was lost in blissfulness and beauty.

Then I changed gears to my actual daily trio, which includes the AFUL Performer 7, Letshuoer DX1, and the Dunu DK3001BD. Played thru the Sony NW-ZX100, which possesses that warm, lush, Sony house sound, so for these three IEMs, it's spot on perfect synergy. I've been blessed with a continuation of that blissful beauty sonically.

@Redcarmoose Twistura WoodNote has a wood diaphragm like the JVC FW + FX series!! Best timbre of any IEMs I've ever come across. I wonder how the timbre comes across with the WoodNote? Also the aforementioned I/O Volare has a wood diaphragm dynamic for the low end.

Question for you:
What does the Braindance do for you that the Project M doesn't? And vice versa. For me, they tick a lot of the same boxes, which is why I've got my Project M up for sale at the moment. But I'm curious what each does for you that the other doesn't?

I was wondering about "paper diagpragm/membranr" in hidizs marketing material.

They compare paper, pet, titanium, and their magnesium.

In that table paper oe have similar performance/spec with pet diagpragm/membrane, but supposedly the tone would be different.

Is it the same with this "wood diagpragm"?
