And considering this is half that price, you got a potential banger!
That's cool.... It looks like porcelain, which is cool, too...perhaps I should make IEMs myself with espresso cups.
Two in one, after I finish my espresso...I can listen to some music, too, from the same cups
It's coming from Hong Kong, which is usually way faster than from Shenzhen.

Well let let burn in process begin because when I put them in my ears all I hear is shrill. If the treble doesn't tone down then I honestly can't see why anyone would voluntarily listen to these.
It is one shrill critter when playing right out of the box. Break in for 4 days and try it again.

My Trio has finally arrived as well.
Stock cable already binned.
1st song, hmm these are quite good.
4th song, hmm which is the treble switch!

Where'd you get the case for the Variations V6?

Came with it - was one of the Kickstarter campaign. Does it not come as standard for all?

That’s crazy, mine is really smooth… like I said I use it before bed, it’s really natural and nice to drift off to. I could never use a trebley set for that

Ya I didn't see any remarks about the shrillness or sharpness I'm hearing so maybe it's a dud? We will see after some burn in otherwise it's a definite return

$5,200?! PASS!! That's half the down payment on the Sennheiser HE-1, which I'd pick up if I was one of these wealthy folks in the WC page
he-1 is interesting but not at all worth the money. its greatest strength is its organic presentation but otherwise other estat cans outdo it for details, its bass is decent and its a cool headphone system but overall nothing to shed a tier over lol. id probably be way more interested in the storm then he1, he 1 Sennheiser team also sucks at actually getting back to people

Hmm, I've just read one man's excitement about A3000 on the Final thread.
Couldn't resist since I am a Finals fan :)

They are in the basket as well :)

If you end up returning let me know, I genuinely may send you my set to see if you hear the same thing.

I didn't get one and I can't seem to find onw for sale. But then, I got the black knob V6, which was cheaper.

New old toy borrowed from a friend for demo before purchase: L&P W4

I think I was a bit too dismissive of the W4 back then, when I just finished with the P6 Pro the and the middle of testing the DX300. Against those two, anything sounds mediocre.
