This is not good I stopped buying from him some time ago, but this was because my friend in Scotland is also making cables. But the cables I have from Gladiator has been good quality, and I have been happy except for some really long delivery times. But what you tell here is just textbook scamming ..

Most of the cable business is leading people to "believe" something in order for the to pay many times more than it should be for simple good electric connectors. The business is a business, who would shy away from easy profits....
Since you asked, my recent AE experience was very sad - largely due to trying to use coins (that I have plenty), Ali coupons and good deals:
1. "out of stock" on several items;
2. changing the price while paying (NiceHCK), never happened to me before;
3. not honouring the deal and boldly requesting me cancelling the order - I replied them: no way, just do not ship and have it in your AE seller records (ironically, not that I much needed this item...)
So the only item I got was a cable with a nice looking connectors from SHINs for $30+ my fourth most expensive cable.
My most expensive cable so far is Kinera Ace 2.0 - I am perfectly fine with their great story and amazing Kinera packaging worth extra $10+, and the cable being a good deal for me.
I do not hear any acousttic differences between good cables with a strand resistance below 0.3-0.4 Ohm.
It has been brought quite few times: while good basic cables with simple connectors can cost about $10-15, nice fancy connectors for extra $5-20 and colourful jackets of different artisans representing diverse cultures, artistic visions, etc..to add another $5-50 would be so great instead of this really silly "palladium, rhodium, special knit from R&D" earning this hobby a very dubious reputation...
Moondrop recently had a series of four flowers IEMs, and if not for @baskingshark, I possibly would not recognize it not much enunciated by Mooondrp in their Engilsh translation. I really liked three of them (May, Jiu and Chiu Ii), so
I would be very much into similar experiences to enjoy this hobby!
Is this the maroonish one? I snagged that as well for my MP145 or Dark Phoenix. I got 4 other cables from IVIPQ this time, with requested modular ends.
When you get it after a while try out your most soundstage cable and most thinnest source, and check out how the upper end shows layers. For me one set up was the ASOS cable (soundstage) and the OS133 Penon Dongle. That has just enough power and a really clean and detailed top end. Truly is was special. Though the included cable is one nice cable.....no doubt about that. I mean NiceHCK is a cable maker, so they are going to include the best with their flagship. Cheers!
I've not heard "TOTL" priced iem like FIR audio/64, JH audio, Elysian, etc. But this selection in the mid-price seems to be a sweet spot; I can't justify paying thousands just yet.
I have also been stuck on China-made iem, as they seem to have got it right and offer an excellent price to value, in my opinion.
