So, I’m currently working on my listening impressions of the Symphonium Crimson and while I have been enjoying them quite a bit after some serious tip-rolling, I took a break to snap some pics and wanted to share some with you fine gentlemen. I hope everyone is having a great night!








Some initial impressions are that the Crimsons lean towards a lighter, more airy signature that for some may border on too spicy. But for me, luckily the upper mids are kept mostly at bay using the right source equipment. Like all Symphonium IEMs, these things take serious power to drive correctly. Not in terms of volume, but in terms of smoothening out the frequency and bringing the most out of the sub-bass and mid-bass regions. Technicalities are befitting of a TOTL IEM, for sure. Head stage, resolution, and detail retrieval are some of the best I’ve heard. They are ultra clean, precise, and highly resolving.

I have the CCA Trio on the way but I'm not sure if I should get an Artti R1. Does anyone know if the R1 is an upgrade over the Trio or would it be more of a side grade?
Might pick up an EPZ Q1 Pro just as a beater based on TDM's review

In Akros comparison between R1, Aoshida E20 and CCA Rhapsody it looked more like a sidegrade to me (it's not a direct comparison with Trio per se, but gives some interesting insight nevertheless). On the other hand, R1 can be picked for less than ~49$ at the moment (with 5$ off 39 coupon + coins) so at least it's not its usual $60-65+ price.
Personally, I picked T10 for 42$ because it's a great value for the price.

The Scarlet Mini is nuts. The sub-bass was literally too much for me and my library apparently. Could come down to the unit I heard, but I had some distortion on some tracks during my listening. The Maestro Mini however, is a nice compromise imo

Moongod looks good but a bit outside what I want to spend... and wasn't too happy with the last pricey cable I got from NiceHCK.

I love Scarlett mini. It’s a special set. It is base head with kick ass vocals. It’s just fun !

No but in all seriousness, it's best to add the item to your cart and track any price adjustments like that rather than going off of the landing page which is usually class-a BS.

This is just common AE sales practices. The sales are only really significant because of the added coupons with the slight discounts for whatever sale is on, usually if you just keep an eye on the items you want you can get them for cheaper throughout the year as well.

Always watch what you wanna get on AE for a couple weeks before buying!
