Does anyone have Hype4? That IEM is suddenly hyped from this week

The acid test is if this IEM is still talked about 3 months from now.

Give it a week or two to settle down, most of the so-called hype-train (no pun intended) AKA flavour of the week kinds will fall by the wayside. Natural selection in action.

Not to say that they ain't decent or at least above average, a lot of the recent releases are very serviceable and not bad-sounding. Just that the competition is so tough that being above average is still a death sentence when something new and shiny appears next week.

Been thinking about getting an Audeze Euclid or Goldplanar GL30 later down the read but both will def need EQ, especially the GL30 which graphs like it wasn't tuned at all.

Tangzu Heyday is solid IEM, still seeing regular usage despite owning the Supernova, but I could get something more technical and really start playing with EQ because the good stuff I have doesn't need EQ in general.

Yay or nah?

Haven't tried the GL30, but the Euclid is very resolving for a planar but has a wonky tonality. Yeah it needs EQ for sure.

I think it is very overpriced though.

The Pulas are getting great reviews so far, but the BA's are not Knowles...not that it matters. If they're good, they're good!

Is it just me or the tuning looks like a ThieAudio IEM. Maybe Oracle or Prestige.

They do look absolutely stunning for sure. Looks like tuning filters as well? I'll wait for reviews and see what the initial price tag is?

I enjoyed my Dunu EST112. Last Dunu I owned. Sadly I cannot remember what I bought when I reluctantly sold them? It might have been for the DX170 + Wu Zetian? Hard to remember. I went through so many IEM's while I had the EST112.

EDIT : HA! My memory is actually damn good! LOL I did a search and actually found my post, and indeed, I sold the EST112 for the DX170 + Wu Zetian. smart move on my part. As good and bassy as the EST112 were, my Wu Zetian are more to my personal liking, and I do love my DX170 for many reasons.

It looks a lot like the Mirai tuning-wise. But hard to judge official graphs.*
