Looking up EPZ products on AE… and discovered the 620… 6BA set! One more BA then the over twice the price 530. And it has two bass, two mids, and 2 treble drivers. Has anyone heard these? Sounds like a great deal!!

Well when the simple desktop fan is on in my room there are three levels where one is Transparency Mode, with the fan showing extra treble, I guess you want this mode when someone is talking and you don’t want to take the headphones off? The extra sound is coming from the 5 headphone microphones and piped into the mix. I’m guessing?

Then you have ANC off which is using the actual cups to block a little sound.

3)
Then ANC on mode, being used to reduce around 32dB give or take 3dB. At this point the fan is now totally silent!

You will thank me! You can’t lose with the Aether! I can’t wait to hear your box opening experience! It will be a memory, one of the best memories of 2025, be sure of that!

After getting the VE asura 3.0 fe earbuds i realize i wanted speaker like set up in an iem. VE does the job very well for mids/treble (high ref speaker like) but lacking bass. From the description.. i had aether in cart and then your review tipped me to buy... ill let you know of my impressions when i get it

The hype is starting to die. But the Aether is my favorite planar sub 250. I'll be reviewing it on Youtube pretty soon. Impressive little guy with a lot of strengths.

Thanks so much, Darren! I really did enjoy that set. It was like a warm blanket over my ears but the techs, somehow, weren't lost at all. I'm looking forward to have more time with them!

Just back from some traveling. Catching up on the thread to discover some awesome new sets announced in NY. Now that I’ve ducked out of spending on any new IEMs over the past few months I actually have some cash saved up to put toward one or two of these. Probably pick up one of Crin’s launch sets, but I’ll wait for more feedback before deciding which. And thank the lord Crin knows visual design better than most. Sharp, classy, understated shells.

Quite impressive really. Can this thing really be all that different to what we're used to from 14.Xmm planar drivers? If only it looked like anything too and they stopped pasting their logo all over the faceplates.

Ugh. I know. Kiwi Ears came out of the gates with some excellent visual designs, but their more recent shell designs look… pretty dang terrible.

I read it and dont agree with fiio and dc elite. I have both devices fiio m11 ess plus it is latest m11 spec with dc elite. I dont know if fiio can make step with btr 17 but dont think it will trasformate m11 to elite level. M11 is thicker sound with less bas less balanced less flat. Dc elite is step in resolution, imaging, clear, dynamism detail. But you need time to listen. Dont think listen in some show with other people with less concentration is justified.

I believe you're going to love it! I'm looking forward to your review/impressions of it. I've really enjoyed it and I agree with the Coax/Optical pathway.

Seriously, I'm curious about the Aether as more praise arrives. I'm not pulling any triggers any time soon, but the news about the Aether has caused me to halt a possible imminent purchase of the Volume S, especially after my disappointment with the P5+2.

I know all about sleeper planars that upend a market: I own the Artti T10. That still is the best set I've heard with an original MSRP under $100, period. Never could figure out why it didn't catch fire. Artti doesn't market that hard? The shells look ropey as f*ck? Probably. But the sound is sublime.

Damn, I live only five hours from NYC, but maybe I need to fly to CanJam LA. It's during my racing offseason, so it works better for me time-wise.
