To wrap up (there's more :) ) my experience with the brand I like...here is Final Audio ZE8000!
It's a shame I can't use them for what I intended: for walks. I have trouble with the connection and player.
I still haven't tried them with my smartphone. I will, but that's not how I listen to music when I am out.
It works fine when it's cloudy, but it doesn't work in clear weather. It works perfectly in the interior, as it does right now.
That's not all. I have trouble with the fit. It's bad with stock tips.
It works decently with regular tips, which are not made for, but it loses a lot of bass.
I recently received tips with wings, which I bought for other IEMs but wasn't good.
So I tried them with ZE8000, and it works perfectly! It has a great fit and seal.
So, one would think everything was sorted out well, but it's not perfect either.
I can't place IEMs in the box with the new tips; they are bigger, and I have to pull them off every time before placing IEMs in the box.
After all, the sound is excellent for BT. It is darker, but the sound is different with the different tips.
There is an EQ that might make them sound even better, but I will not do that, at least for now. I am not interested.
I don't know if I can say I had an excellent experience with all the caveats, but it is when listening to music.
Ah, they also need a lot of power, at least for me; it could be plenty for someone else. So... Numero is 6+!

Cheers!

I just tried the R1/DCE to the Deuce and OMG what a horrible pairing the DCE picks apart the upper mids in such a revealing way it gave me cringe moments NO GO on Deuce... first IEM where I didn't want to listen to the IEM , my Astell&Kern Kann Max does that a few times on certian pairings but it's wonderfull on the Deuce as was the Shanling EH1.

Just something about the Elite and the Deuce are bad together.
I'll try it too, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Synergy with sources is a real issue.

Received mine today and can only say your description is spot on!
All in all a better Porta Pro in my book. Except for the comfort, there the Koss wins. Got some midrange honkiness going on, but apart from that pretty smooth and nice treble! Bass is also not too shabby considering they are open on ears.
And don’t underestimate all the hard work that went into removing ANC and passive noise isolation. Finally you can wear headphones and talk to people at the same time! The future is now, indeed! (Sorry for the irony, but the product description kinda prompted me to have some fun 😜)
Looks are stunning, obviously. I chose the same color scheme as yours, so I will honor your beautiful pictures by not taking some myself that may remind people of the color of earwax again 😉
I'm glad you like them.
They are very nice and well made for the price.

Please answer that poll, will help me get more accurate data for my NAS/Media-server part 2 post. (Will have price comparison between the most popular streaming service compared to self hosting your own streaming service.)

Done.

The mathematician in me smiled wide: thank you !

It's an addiction, I can't stop myself. I have an entire note with all kinds of equations equaling 7 and I can't say most of them on camera without making myself laugh. 😅

Sweet! Got my tracking update from Penon! My ISN EBC80 should be arriving by Monday end of day! So my days off next week are going to be stellar, and the EBC80 land just in time for it to start. Excellent service, as always, by Penon.

Thanks!
Yeah the Adonis New has a super unique aestetic and whoever thought it up deserves some serious kudos. I would have never expected deep purple and pinecones to go so well together. I'm kicking myself for not trying it at CanJam. Impressions are strong and it looks to have the warmth and bass that'll satisfy my wants/needs.
The choice of materials is that of a mad scientist, that's for sure. It just goes to show, when you're willing to take risks, sometimes it all works out in the end!

I'm not even a fan of purple If I'm honest but I do think it looks stellar. When I get my pair in, I'll be sure to add some impressions to the disco thread, even though there is a ton of impressions already out there! :)
Ziigaat putting more effort into drivers and tuning makes sense on paper but paying $200+ for a set and receiving a very meh cable does not feel good from a consumer stand point. Will that be remedied next year? We will see. I don't know why more companies don't partner with some of the cheaper but still nice cable manufacturers like Xinhs/ivipQ/OpenHeart to supply their cables.
Dude, that is such a great point. How many amazing cables are out there from XINHS, OpenHeart, NiceHCK for under $25 bucks? I mean, there are tons. It can't cost THAT much to put a decent cable in the box, especially when you're buying in bulk. I feel like everyone would win 10 fold.

It would be smart for a IEM manufacturer like ThieAudio or even Ziigaat to buy up a cable manufacture and just allow them to keep making nice cables for short money for consumers and send over cables to the IEM maker to go in the package. There's probably a lot of other logistics I'm not aware of but, it's a good idea in theory :)

Congratulations! Tell me: do you find them comfortable? Which model from the brand would you compare their size to? 🤗

Thanks! In one word: yes - comfortable for me but there’s no denying that the EBC80 are chonky bois. They fill my conchae and sit so snugly I pretty much forget about them. (Check back after I’ve had a few hours on them though…)

Offhand, I would say their shells remind me most of the 10th AE in terms of their footprint and height. Even the colour is pretty much an exact match. Also similar to Volt but thicker/taller. Bigger than Voltage.

Doubt they could have been any smaller… it’s crowded in there.

I will do my usual photo comparo tomorrow or this weekend, time-permitting, so if you or anyone have requests in particular, I’ll try to oblige if I own it.

I'm not a Penon or ISN guy, like, at all, but there is no denying how dope their shell designs are. I love seeing all the components nicely stacked inside the shell. That is really cool.
