Is the treble smoother/more resolving on the Bridge? I've seen some reports on grainy treble on Trio. (Haven't PTT on the Trio yet. Guess that makes me kinda unique in this thread?) :)

Not grainy in my experience, I would say Trio's treble is darker, less air than some, and doesn't quite have a great extension as some. But it's wide diffused orbital soundstage with black background that aids separation is v neat. Warm analogue-ish sound, overall.

Sorry for double post but I want this one to be separate so it doesn't get lost.

I am doing a giveaway over in the classifieds for a pair of Rose Technics QuietSea that I reviewed a few months back. This giveaway is only open to those in the US (sorry my foreign friends but shipping costs are too damn high). If you'd like a chance to win, simply click the link below and leave a comment on the post. Good luck!

I know this wasn't aimed at me but I feel attacked 😅
Ha ha I did actually @TAG you and then pulled it out, was about to say to him ' are you a miserable warmth-seeking sod like that Thaslaya' - - I knew you won't take offence, wasn't sure about him! Sometimes, rare perhaps, I can be sensible!

Now and then i stare at my unused Castor Bass and think about piercing a hole but haven't got myself to do it yet! Unscrew the cover and just pierce through em, eh? And er what do you use to pierce?!
Hey, we were talking about nylon filter on the nozzle for bass airflow, in case you were misinterpreted.

Just take off / uplift the nylon filter with needle :

20240705_184707.jpg

And then punch a tiny hole on the nylon filter (put your filter on sticker paper or plastic to keep it sticky, put on stack of paper and punch with the tip of the needle, don't go until the needle body, it would be too big)

1mm hole is enough for airflow and doesn't change the sound tonality.

And then put back on the nozzle. Thats it!

Finally Thieaudio with bone conduction too

https://www.linsoul.com/products/thieaudio-origin

Genuine Drivers for Genuine Sound: The Origin features premium drivers from European Sonion and American Knowles. It includes dual Sonion electrostatic (EST) super tweeters for airy treble, a re-engineered Knowles TWFK dual tweeter for smooth upper and lower treble, and two Sonion 2600 series full-range drivers for low-mids and midrange. A 10mm bio-cellulose diaphragm dynamic driver (DD) handles sub-bass, while an in-house bone-conductor (BC) driver adds texture to mids and trebles.

Wow the configuration is exactly the same like UM Mest

TSMR SHOCK
2DD+4BA+2BC Tri-hybrid 8-drivers Audiophile In-ear Earphone IEM
Low frequency: 2 x 8mm strong magnetic dynamic drivers with hollow coaxial structure and carbon hybrid diaphragm
Mid-frequency: 2 x Knowles drivers
High frequency: 2 x Sonion drivers
Full-frequency compensation: 2 x Sonion Bone Conduction drivers
The above picture shows the recommended factory standard tuning settings
The yellow knob controls the low frequency (left increase, right decrease)
The brown knob controls the high frequency (left increase, right decrease)
The left and right ears need to be adjusted consistently, and it is recommended to try fine-tuning
This is so unique, if the knobs are really working then its something different.
But honestly the shell design is looked like baby toy 😆

Oh wow! That's doable, even for me. I think.

In Bombay, recalling the time i tried to patch up a punctured cycle tube in the childhood. Put the tube in a large plastic basin of water, spot the bubbles area, that's where the puncture is. Patch it. Easy when my friend explained it. I think i ended up imagining bubbles and patching (sticking a roughly-cut tube basically) on areas where there was no puncture. No harm done, good honest day's work, i thought. Down the road, in 5 minutes, they went phusss again. I blamed the quality of the adhesive, as I would blame the needle now after tearing up that Castor filter. Not that I use it anyways. So no harm done!

Didn't know where else to share this, got my listen listening nook all setup finally, with the ability to drive two different headphones/IEMs for me and my wife with independent volumes finally (the last album we listened to together I had to find two IEMs with similar resistance and a Y-splitter, and then the bass was wildly out of control as a result)

Congrats on the desktop setup, brother!
Looking quite snazzy, if I do say so.

Jay asked me for shipping information for this one, haven't heard anything after 😅

Also your photos is as beautiful as always 💯

Would be nice if it came, could have a comparison with Hype 4 and the new Oracle MK3 (waiting for next batch to get ready)

Though I have more than enough fun with Mest MKIII now, such a technical beast that's also musical. Must be among the most resolving IEMs I have tried.

Look what's arrived! Aful Explorer which seems to be done exploring and has settled at my place.

This one is promising upon first listen. The Bassiest IEM I own or have tried. It also fits like a glove. An ear glove?

More to come

QDC, which is known for their TOTL IEMs and custom gear, is entering the dongle game, with the QDC QD1.

Looks like a BATMOBILE? Better than a coffin for sure!

In recent times, they tried to ride on the sequel hype of nostalgic Moondrop classics like the Aria 2, Starfield 2, Solis 2 and Chu 2, but mostly these were mediocre forgettable stuff.

I would be down with a Kato 2... Probably.
