There's nothing inherently wrong with graphs, but there is an issue if you casually trust someone else's pithy one-liner interpretation of a graph without any nuance. Ideally, everyone talking about graphs would have familiarity with what's covered here:
Do I think that's the case? Unlikely. So, use your judgement, and weight people's public comments on graphs appropriately, based on how well you think they demonstrate understanding of the underlying concepts.
They’re nicely complementary too. The R1 has a really satisfying analogue sound while the 41t delivers the crisp details without sacrificing musicality.
It’s becoming increasingly amazing how much value you can get out of a budget set.
Hello Friends,
There's a new portable Bluetooth-USB DAC/AMP the Muse HiFi M4. I spent the last few days with this beauty, and shared my review on the same last night. But it was quite late and my health was not good so did not shared here.
Pros:-
>Bluetooth usage is easy with smartphones you know.
>Supports 3.5mm+4.4mm+2.5mm Outputs.
>Warm, Smooth, Musical sound signature.
>Powerful output.
>Decent battery life.
>Solid looks and build.
Hmm, Letshuoer has released some info on the S15's internals, stating that this planar IEM is using a passive filtering module instead of a traditional passive radiator. Basically, it is a kind of reverse concept of a passive radiator.
So, i have the chance to try TGXear earbuds and here is my impression (more like a review, but it's impression)
- I'm asian and i'm somewhat a treblehead
- Listening volume around 60-65db
- I'll tried to keep it as fair as possible
- Tuned (Bass, Mid, Treble) judged by the first listen, Technical (Detail, Soundstage, Imaging) judged after i get used to it ("brain burn in"). Tuned points might changed after "brain burn in" effective, but most of the time don't!
- I might not have enough source/cable to test, so synergy can be a big factor
- I do this just for fun, it's my opinion and preference so i don't think anyone would agree with me so...
- Tgxear Serratus MX500 (with/without foam)
+Bass 6.8/10 (Big, deep but controlled, somehow not so detail to me)
+Mid 7/10 (lack body, not a fun mid to listen to, given how detail it is)
+Vocal 8.5/10 (Female vocal sounds real and satisfy)
+Treble 7.5/10 (slight sibilance here and there but overall quite impressive)
+Detail 7.5/10 (Micro 7.5/10, Macro 7.5/10)
+Soundstage 5/10 (Small ball soundstage/ Holographic if you want to)
+Imaging 9/10 (pin point imaging) Overall: 7.3/10
- Yanyin 600ohm ... (Is my source just weak or?? Idk it's warm, bassy, bassy, bassy, undetail, so underwhelming, maybe source is bad, or so i hope)
- Tgxear Sunniva (without foam because not enough treble for me)
+ Bass 2.5/10 (kinda like LCP Bass, deep and big but uncontrolled)
+ Mid 6/10 (deep and natural)
+ Vocal 8/10 (kinda like blon)
+ Treble 7/10 (smooth but detail)
+ Detail 5.5/10 (Micro 6.5/10, Macro 5/10)
+ Soundstage 5.5/10
+ Imaging 4/10 Overall: 5.5/10
- Tgxear Totem (no foam)
+ Bass: 8/10 (remind me of Timeless but better punch/rumble, very detail)
+ Mid: 9.3/10 (remind me of SA6 but more emotional while still remain detail, still weird)
+ Vocal: 10/10 (i would love to have a little more volume but i don't even mind because it is so natural and beautiful)
+ Treble 9.5/10 (shine, detail, no sibilance, just incredible, maybe cymbal attack a little too quick?)
+ Detail 9/10 (Micro 8.5/10, Macro 9.5/10)
+ Soundstage 6/10 (Big ball like soundstage but not enough to the front)
+ Imaging 7.5/10 (blurry to the front/back, micro spacing is really really on point) Overall: 8.5/10
- Tgxear Desolation Sound
+ Bass 8.5/10 (big, bold, detail, lack some rumble, can't give full point because it isn't an iem)
+ Mid 8.5/10 (full, lush, would love a little more texture)
+ Vocal 9.5/10 (natural but lack some edge, just preference!)
+ Treble 7.5/10 (smooth, unfatiguing, lack excitement and brilliance)
+ Detail 7.5/10 (Micro 8/10, Macro 7/10)
+ Soundstage 5.5/10 (maybe will improves with synergic source, didn't see any improvement with all sources i've tried)
+ Imaging 7/10 (again,synergy might help!) Overall: 8/10
Soundstage and Imaging points doesn't count in Overall points as i feel there is a potential in them, i just don't have good enough source to use them correctly!
FiiO FD5. My darling. Absolutely hateddisliked disagreed with Precog and other reviewers who trashed it.
Until I trashed it in my review as well.
I don’t miss that era of the market, tbh. At that time, A$450 can give you either blessing 2 or FD5, and neither are truely good (to me, ymmv). At that time, the only way to go was up. Nowadays, we have so many competent stuffs at A$450 or less.
I've never loved the FD5 but it's hard for me to call it truly terrible.
Fun fact: Crinacle up'd the tone grade from C+ to B- on his latest ranking list which barely earned it a one-star rec and I mean barely.
Fiio discounted the FD5 to $149 during holiday sales, not amazing value but I see decent value here with EQ plus you get a lot of goodies with the FD5 courtesy of Fiio always providing plenty of goodies with their IEMs.
