I know i use this word a lot but I love disruptors in the market creating forceful innovation and eventually customers are happy.

Maybe tangzu would offer a cheap tribrid with est and we would finally see est drivers included in cheaper price ranges...
I'm trying to will it into existence. lol

TOTL or flagship imply 500-800 dollars, but it's a funny price point given the rest of their lineup at the time. $25, $100, $150, $200.... $800. If that is the case I'll be interested to see if they offer something in the gap that leaves.

Just to clarify things here, TANGZU Princess starts at $15 and you get the designer ear-tip set (if you want) for $16. One dollar more.

So? The thing is TANGZU doesn’t make a bad tune! I have never heard one that I would not want to own? So this is probably great!

The name too “Gate” like gateway into a new value!

If ISN could make EST50 (1DD 2BA 2EST) over two years ago at 450usd, I would suspect Tangzu to be even lower.
If we look at how cheap multi hybrids can be, price should be lower. Unless they try to aim for something better in quality.
No idea about EST pricing, but I assume the price there has dropped also.

According to ebay $160 for dual set. I would imagine manufacturers get these a bit cheaper.
Oh boy. Just to give a little more extension in the ultra high end...

It's definitely an end user price but even let's say a dual set costs an additional 100$, it's a lot.

Their implementation also makes the production cost higher.

The more you spend the diminishing returns you get, this hobby costly...

Ya its interesting the price hike that happens with EST implimentation. Piezos are way cheaper but their tonlaity is not the most natural.

I have had my share of EST infused tribrids and hybrids and there is definitley a higher quality of treble articulation, definition, and extension going on with well implimented EST drivers in the mix. What is suprising is why only Sonion has these and we havn't seen a Knowles counterpart or even more surpring to see a Bellsing counterpart. But I have a sneeking feeling Bellsing folks are already onto something very similar we might see on a newer KZ earphone in the very near future.

Couldn't the reasons be the technical difficulty of making them and inserting them into the IEM (the transformer is big), the fact that they 'discharge' (even if after 1000 years), and the fact that they produce little 'sound pressure'?

Thanks for the protip. I was going to buy another set of these eartips on Amazon, but I'll just get the Princess IEMs instead since they come with them!

I can only find Linsoul with this deal, but they're sold out.

Back in 2021 (when the ISN EST50 came out for) $449.00.....is ....$512.00 in today’s money.

Inflation!

Yes, that package deal seems to be sold out, but the tips are now offered with new TANGZU models as included? I think the Fudu has them?

The TRN BAX is $312.88, one of the lowest cost providers of the tribrid manufacturing style. Still I think this TANGZU will be $450? Just a wild guess?

Only because TANGZU has kinda made a name for itself offering incredible sound per dollar, so why would they stop now?
I always hope to hear more BAX comparisons from you.

You were a very enthusiastic promoter of BAX on TRN thread back then, when you received your free sample.

I do not recall hearing from anyone here spending their own $250-$300 on BAX (other than some unfortunate chap getting BAX and trying to sell a sealed package in a buying remorse - while reselling TRN is somewhat like selling snow in the Arctic...), so we would so much count on your diligent comparisons and eloquently flowing words.

I do understand that the hype mentality is strongly relying on a very limited long-term memory: so "hype, hype", and then next hype train, next and next, and who cares about those left behind...

Yet, some idea of integrity and responsibility, ideally, just ideally, should be there or not (???) The latter, sadly, I can surmise in a retrospective based on my 5 years in Head-Fi: survival of the most blatant in the "hype business" - really sad, and sorry for bringing it up - not much I can do to really change it...

let me correct it,

1 13mm DD + 1 BA + 1 Micro Planar
I'm not sure what needed correction here... But I wonder if Kiwi Ears would like to make an IEM with a Sony MDR-EX form factor (but in a 3D printed resin if possible) so they can cram a 16mm driver.

Or at least I wish this concept were revived and maybe it turns out even with a 16mm DD inside, there's still enough room to make it a triple driver.

Also Kiwi Ears officially refers to the last driver as a Micro Planar Transducer which they officially shorten to MPT.

At least I assume the biggest selling point of big drivers is that you can get away with big vents while still having excellent bass extension and distortion, which potentially kills any chance of driver flex happening while also being less dependant on a perfect seal (which to my understanding even Xelastecs achieve slightly imperfect seal).
