I can't stand bullet shaped IEMs. My ears reject them, they never stay in. Buuut my partner likes them, so I still have an excuse to try them out hehe

I've been relatively quiet the past few days. First reason is because my job changed my schedule, and I work until really late now. Secondly, I've been listening to the Quartet almost exclusively the last three days. Can't stop listening. Bass and mids EQ'd down and treble EQ'd up, and they are musical and engaging, and I actually enjoy them more than I ever thought I would.

Perhaps in these days I will have my mind tuned to another signature and unsuitable music.
Depends what you are used to, it's a bass heavy sound that also are a little dark in the upper mids and treble.
Usually never EQ, but I did something similar.
EQ down some mid bass, upped the energy from 3-6k hz and actually reduced the 8k energy some. This made the sound much more balanced for me, and I can then use it for more or less all my music.
It stays at work for me as a fun set, but there it's without EQ. When I want more balanced V sound I use FAN original instead. Or the cheap but fun KZ Ling Long.

Reading about the Quartets, maybe them suit my preferences of sound.
Ill wait for some second hand unit, maybe worth a try.
Anyways, a 2dd+2ba unit for this price is impressive. Chifi is getting better!

The new ISN NEO 5 is coming soon, I have gotten the opertunity to buy a early unit. I am allowed to share photos and impressions when I get it, should also mention that I am a customer and not a reviewer for Penon/ISN.

Hi, could I ask for a review of the K5 (and a comparison with SR5, if possible) when you receive them? I have seen people saying K5 is better than SR5 and vice versa. Making me hesitant about which one to pull the trigger onOh, that's sad to hear. I really hope the K5 is better (just bought one yesterday)
Btw, there's no thread about EPZ IEMs on Head-fi ? I would love to hear more impressions on the K5 while I wait for them.....
