I'm not sure about form factor, but two my last purchases are Sound Rhyme SR5 and Juzear 41t - super sound for adequate money. SR5 is brighter, 41t is softer and darker.
Though honestly, saying the SR5 is brighter is kinda like saying brown is a little bit brighter than black. The SR5 isn't bright at all, and one of it's weaknesses is it's subdued highs. The 41t is less than the SR5?? Dang! I'm glad I avoided that one!

It’s all relative, after all. I dunno if SR5 would be too bright for me, but I like the exact amount of brightness in 41T, which is what I expected when i picked it between the two

If u have to pick one... wich one?

Im more on bass-relaxed side, and the FR of the juzear seems to be pretty unique.

The cable, seems to be better made. Also the shell seems to have nice build.

Both have good shells, SR5 has slightly better resolution, better vocals and details. 41t has more bass and less treble, the sound is mellow and quite relaxed.
To make the choice - it's very hard in this case. I like bass, soft sound. But such high level sound of SR5 I would not miss.

I remember when $30 guaranteed you bloaty v shaped until the Xaiomi Pistons 2 and the Havi B3. That's when the wheels of chifi started to rear it's head and spin fast, and the Vsonics came in and for $30, people started saying 85-90% of the performance of $100 sets. Then the Zero Audio Tenore blew the roof off the price to performance, and then....here we are today, with my $15 Ling longs with performance of sets three-four times the cost, planars for $30, and the Z300 providing high fidelity/audiophile quality sound at $35.00. It's come a long way.
I'll drink to that !! :beerchug:

Yeah, I’m so tempted to add these PR2 to my collection just to have one decent planar IEM. They are also good for giving amps a work out and convince people that they need external amp :dt880smile:
Tbf they're a revelation, I'll never tire of listening to them - inspired me to buy an additional planar set @ £85....should be here in a week for comparison !!

Absolutely.

First 100 h SR5 is quite bright. As for me it was overbrightly. Now after burning-in SR5 is excellent.
You have baby ears? overly bright?

In my college days at $30 you get the slightly fancy drugstore iem, either plasticky JVC or Sony or Phillips. last about a semester before needing to buy another.
not that bad per se, but today you could get Z300 for the price

Yep, I'm also looking forward to the delivery of Z300: arrives before 3.00 pm on Monday, so the new trio rotation should be fab.....3 definitely seems to be "the magic number" !!

Both Blon and HBB have spent quite the effort to create BL03 proper successor, from all the BL-sidegrades to Mele, and now it seems it converge into Z300.

BL03 were obvs a worthy budget Tanchjim Oxygen, fortunately I bypassed all subsequent successors, hence Z300 with great quality cable were a no brainer !

Juzear 41t 1DD + 4BA impressions:

Price: $160 USD

Fit: I have average sized ears. My ideal fit is the SR8 or UM Mentor. 41Ts fit was ok. It has a smaller shell than SR8 but has a longer nozzle / deeper insertion. This gave me the feeling like something was "plugged in". I managed to get longer sessions in by going 1 size up with Radius Deep Mount.

Sonic profile: This is a neutral tuned set with a mild bass boost. It's an airy presentation prioritizing clarity and extension over bodied notes. The imaging is not as spaced out as SR8 but quite clean. It sounded smooth and balanced on SP3K which is a neutral warm DAP.

Bass: It has a tasteful amount of bass quantity. This is not a set for someone who wants the most bombastic bass. Compared to SR5, it has less sub bass quantity. I heard more thump! (mid bass) than oomph! (sub). While the 41Ts DD had less impact vs SR5 but I found the transition to the BA mids to be more coherent (no bleed).

Mids: Mids are the highlight. Lower mids are restrained giving male vocals a more ethereal take. Where most of the energy is coming from are the upper mids. In some ways this portion reminds me of the TSMR RGB but tamer and less aggressive. Female vocals and string instruments thrive on this set.

Highs: Highs are present but more stately vs SR5. Cymbals can be heard in large orchestras. My attention is drawn more towards the mids.

Overall this is a pretty resolving set for $160. I would put it up there with the SR5.
