Sennheiser just sent me the iTunes code! I'll probably sell it to someone I know who uses iTunes...
UPS man just dropped my HD650's off at the door...listening to In Rainbows by Radiohead right now, initial impressions are "holy ****". Like wrapping my favorite blanket around myself. So happy right now.![]()
Still no gift card yet, though.
Amazon will NOT refund the difference. If they do they are making an exception. Their policy reflects the fact that their prices are always changing and because of that, they are unable to refund the difference when it does. I don't remember where I saw this, but this was asked once before, and an e-mail response was provided by Amazon clarifying their policy on that.
Just an FYI. If you still are uncertain, you can e-mail them first and make sure.
V-moda M100's ...you pre-order now, you get
-Free Faders (ear plugs, $20)

I think i'll get these instead of the he-400's
For those of you who jumped on the Matrix M-Stage Massdrop deal, you should've received an email by now saying:
So... they will maybe, possibly ship in two weeks. Looks like we're looking at almost three weeks before receiving them.
FiiO E5 and up. They're easy to amplify.
Yup I described it as getting a really good hug from your favourite music! My wife laughed out loud until she tried it. Wiped the smile right off her face![]()

These are quite different headphones ! In fact, it makes sense to have both - one open-back home headphones, and one closed-back portable headphones.

That's the complete opposite of what was stated above.
HD580 like-new for $150

This would be fantastic, but judging from the seller's feedback, they mostly deal with books and books on CD/tape. It is still a great deal, but I, myself cannot pull the trigger on that.
That statement, repeated often, is completely wrong. There's nothing about the HD-650 -- impedance, voltage, or power requirements -- to make them hard to drive. The FiiO E5 may not be ideal, except as a tiny portable, but it works just fine. I have both and have used them together.
When asking for recommendations, you can go with the borg or not. It's your decision.
