J&R has the Technical Pro HPT990 (supposedly the same as the Takstar HI 2050) for $44.99 with free shipping

I paid about 10 dollars more for  these and I like em  a lot. They are  better than Superlux 668.  The medium quality velour pads are nice and comfy. They come with a metal carry case a lot of stuff for only 45 clams.

Thanks, just bought me one.
Always wanted one of these.
I just hope it won't disappoint me like the HTF600.

I hope you  read about em first. I think they are a great bang for the buck deal and really a decent sounding HP. There is a nice  Takstar HI 2050 thread here someplace.  For 45 dollars its really a great deal.

How is the sound quality? And bass? And overall comfort? I think I'm about to pull the trigger on these over the takstars.

I can't really comment on the sound quality, they sounded decent to me. Comfort though, I never had a headphone not fit my head before. These headphones need like just 1 more increment on each side for it to fit me comfortably. I believe these headphones are smaller than most headphones.

I like them as much as my Superlux 668b, probably more. Soundstage is open and airy , trebles sparkly and bass tight. I would not reccomend this HP for bassheads tho.  They are comfortable  but they do run a little small  something to think about if you have a larger head or ear size. The 45 dollar price is very good as the Takstars are costing a lot more .

I put this is in another thread before seeing this one dedicated to deals.  Lurked here for a few days and you guys were so helpful. Here is a deal I just used.

soundearphones.com has $100 gift certificates for $75.  I bought two and then bought the new Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros for a total of $150 when they retail for $200.  Great deal and the gift certificate was emailed to me within minutes.  They also overnight ship for free.  Gift certificate can be used for any product and does not expire, although you have to buy them by Sept. 20th.  They have many of the big brands as well as accessories.

Promo code is DEALZMODO
