I emailed Grado specifically to ask about their policy of buying from authorized dealers through Amazon and they told me that I'd have a warranty if I did so (in my case I was asking about Electronics Expo).  Besides, if I follow the link you posted above and try to find that quote on Grado's website, I don't see anything.
 
It was about two months ago when I asked Grado about their warranty policy with respect to Amazon, so your best bet is to just email Grado directly.  They were very quick to reply when I did so.

Ultrasone DJ1 Pros in 'very good' and 'like new' conditions for $93.12 and $95.17. Seems like an alright price. New ones are $143.00 from Amazon, which is the lowest I found with a quick search other than $139 from a seller on eBay.
