I just got an advertisement from denon (the small box on the top right of the forum) saying something along the lines of "Exclusive deal for Headfiers only 50% off of AH-d1100 using the code March2012" though I can't seem to get the code to work and I didn't SS the advertisement (how silly of me t.t; perhaps someone else looking to get these headphones could have some luck.

Denon doesn't advertise here. Electronics Expo does.

I wouldn't use the hook to hang my headphones but maybe just rest it on the top of the wood? Still, newegg or bestbuy has some cheapy headphone stands on sale every once in a while

Thanks for the heads up on the A10. At that price I have to give it a try. Depending on how the bass boost is, I may end up having to sell my ZO2.

That's another question I have. Can the ZO2 be used as a normal amp without insane levels of bass boost. In other words, is the level of bass able to be adjusted or turned off. It seems like the louder you turn it up, the more gain it adds to bass frequencies (going off of their site).

I hesitate to answer that because this is a deals thread. But I'll just say, yes, it can be used without insane levels of boost, in fact when set to lowest contour there's virtually no boost. But if you're looking for an amp, get an amp because the ZO2 is not meant to be just an amp.
 
That being said, hop on the A10 deal posted because that's almost an unbeatable price.

I'd probably suggest spending a couple dollars more and looking for a deal on a Fiio E11 than the Soundmagic A10 from Amazon.

Yes, I didn't want to derail this thread any more than it already has been. I kind of like the looks and form factor of the ZO2 more, but the warmth of the A10 seems like something I'd want.

Apparently the E11 doesn't change the sound much apart form its BB, and I do want a little coloration.
