I have gotten some very good deals that dealers were not "allowed" to give and obviously never disclosed them publicly.  The fact that this Grado debacle happened with two separate dealers makes me think they are particularly strict about it.  Not saying it's impossible, but harder than getting a deal on say the HD800.

Maybe its time to find an alternative to Grado if they are gonna be too greedy.

Generally Sennheiser only offers 90 days for refurbished. So make sure to clarify that. Especially on something in that price range.

Thanks for this information - I was just retyping the information from the Crutchfield site.

I'd sooner buy from a good headfier w great feedback and get the rest of what remains of their two year warranty than a refurbished one w/ a 90 day warranty. Says something if I trust a headfier more than a 90 day warranty!

The Pro DT990 is quite a bit more heavy on the midbass. They sound relatively the same otherwise. The Pro DT990 is an absolutely steal at $166, though that price is normal for them.

hey guys, just got my Denon D2000 from Electronics Expo, and I'm happy to report that all went well. I ordered them on Friday morning last week with standard shipping(UPS Ground) and received them this afternoon. As advertised, they were "like new" in box.
After all the previous comments about  E E,  I was sh***ing bricks! Ha!

Can you explain 'Like new in open box'?

I'm getting the D7000 in the same way from them.
