Generally Sennheiser only offers 90 days for refurbished. So make sure to clarify that. Especially on something in that price range.

I'd sooner buy from a good headfier w great feedback and get the rest of what remains of their two year warranty than a refurbished one w/ a 90 day warranty. Says something if I trust a headfier more than a 90 day warranty!

Yeah, got the notice too but not sure if I wanted to give this a try.  I've recently bought the HIFI580 for a bassy set.  Any one have experience with both?

The Pro DT990 is quite a bit more heavy on the midbass. They sound relatively the same otherwise. The Pro DT990 is an absolutely steal at $166, though that price is normal for them.

hey guys, just got my Denon D2000 from Electronics Expo, and I'm happy to report that all went well. I ordered them on Friday morning last week with standard shipping(UPS Ground) and received them this afternoon. As advertised, they were "like new" in box.
