Amazon had the pro900 for $306 (I think, one or two $ less maybe) direct from Amazon last week.
 
Just found it, out of stock but they get them in stock fairly quickly. If you want them order quick since price jumps to $350 fast

I was in Best Buy today and they had the Koss UR-40 (open) for $20.
Online at Amazon it's $27, so this may be a good way to try them out without waiting for shipping.
I may give them another try.
 
You can even do a stock check online without having to drive to the store first!

Way back when the seller bought the HD-595s, the whole price for the HD-595s was higher then what the current whole price of the HD-598s are.
