I am looking for the Audio Technica M50s . B & H and J & R are backed order.

There is a M50s @ Ebay for $119.00 including shipping from Dawn Musician. Anyone knows or did business with them before ?  Looks legit but I am kind of worrying abt Ebay with their Fake M50s ?

Sennheiser HD 598 Audiophile Headphones w/ High Gloss Burl Wood Accents $164.75

http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?p=37166081#post37166081

Did you read that thread? Haha priceless!

"Don't comment if you don't understand. These have burl wood accents. Burl wood is the closest material in nature to the composition of cochlea of the inner ear. This produces resonances that standard headphones cannot possibly replicate. If you combine those with green marker on the rims of your CDs and oxygen free cables, you will hear music that is, quite literally, more lifelike than the original recording. Or if you prefer mp3s, 128kbps will sound like 320kbps with these headphones. The resonances produced by the burl wood literally increase the effective bit rate. There is a warning on the headphone package that the super-lifelike reproduction of these headphones can cause epileptic seizures in some people."

"Right. There's a report somewhere on the Internet--I will see if I can still find it--where someone taped Shakti Stones to a pair of burl wood headphones and increased the effective bitrate to almost 1000kbps and almost died when he fell asleep with the headphones on. There is increasing scientific evidence that bitrates greater than about 480kbps can cause dementia in listeners, which is why you never see standard bitrates over 400kbps."

These are on my short list to buy but I fear they may not be comfy enough. They are currently $40 cheaper than the AD700s.

It's still $15 more expensive than at electronics expo with the coupon code  LSDA0922

You 've got it right . Just bought the Senn RS 180 at Electronic Expo for $212.09 shipped. Deal cannot be beat with DEALZON promo code. Authorized dealer and excellent CSR.

I just went ahead and bought the M50s at The Guitar center for $119.00 ( matching B & H) . Sales tax costs me an extra $9.00 and some changes but still not a bad deal since if I am not worrying abt having a fake ones.

Electronic expo really has a best deal for HPs with coupon but they do not carry Ultrasone.  I am venturing into the bright and in your face sound signature HPs. Anyone knows a good deal for the Ultrasone Hfi 2200/ 2400, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
