Just ordered a Fischer Audio FA-004 in black from www.bugdenaudio.com. Bugden Audio has a promo code to use in promo code box when ordering of "HF004BLK"; this will get you a 10% discount, will cost me under $70 USD including shipping for Canadian Postal. Also saw a couple of Sony portable headphones that someone may be interested in purchasing at www.bhphotovideo.com, they have Sony's MDR-570LPGR (Green) and MDR-570OR (Orange) for $14.95 USD each, these were given a favorable review on www.headfonia.com last year. Also Sony's MDR-770LP in black for $14.95 each. The shipping is under $4 USPS first class and under $6 UPS regular ground; this is shipping for each but if you buy two or three it will probably be the same shipping price-would have to check that out on shipping page while ordering. Happy Listening.

I just scored a new pair of Shure SRH840 through J&R for $129 including shipping! I didn't even have to talk them down to that price. I just called  800-806-1115 and asked about them. They are out of stock but expecting a shipment in the next week or so. I also did a "Best Offer" with this seller and had my offer of $140 accepted. D'oh! Anyone want a new pair of 840's for cheap?

Anyway, 2 good deals to be had on these cans.

Got them for  $125.99 plus shipping and tax from Electronic Expo a few weeks back. That was with a coupon that somebody listed, perhaps on this thread.  Good find, that's a great deal.

Thanks for the heads-up about J&R.  I was trying to decide between the ADH-M50s and the SRH840s and this sealed the deal on the 840s.  The CSR at J&R offered me the M50s for $119 shipped and after asking whether he could do better on the 840s he offered them to me for $119.99 shipped.

I Called J&R and am able to get the Denon D2000 for 189.99.  Killer deal but I haven't had a chance to listen to these yet to see if I like the sound and I don't know how they feel with glasses (I would like to be able to were them through out the work day with comfort).  Any Suggestion....Should I pull the trigger and buy them

Yeah...When I called I was expecting to pay 199.99 as well, but without even asking they said "lets see what kind of deal I can give you"...bada boom bada bing....189.99.  I was looking at these and the Shure SRH840 (for 119.99)  Is it worth the extra 70 to get the Denon (sound quality and comfort).

The reason I got the D2000s was because I have glasses and the HD 650 can clamp a little too hard, and I wanted to try out a more "fun" can.

I'm currently in Illinois, but I'm originally from California. We have a snow day today, so I didn't have to attend class nor teach the two I was scheduled for today, but I think UPS also has stopped all deliveries in my zip code, so my AKGs won't be coming today (hopefully tomorrow). The D2000s just shipped today, so we'll see how long it'll take in this weather. I got the HD 650s in just two days last time from J&R.

Sorry about your wallet and mine! I'm thinking of returning/selling one of these headphones once I audition them all, but there's a small possibility I might keep them all (I hope not!).

EDIT: I had the SRH440 before, and they felt kind of comfortable in regards to clamping, but the drivers were a bit close and touched my ears, which hurt and annoyed me. I think I just have weird ears though. The D2000s supposedly have deep cups, so I'm hoping that won't be a problem. As for sound, there are quite a few posters here who actually prefer them to the HD 650, which was enough to motivate me to try them out.

Yeah I am in Oklahoma. This freak blizzard gave us record snowfall Tuesday. My office and all schools here closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and will be closed tomorrow!

Are you kidding me? Here I was all proud of my deal. Congrats. I'm not going to sweat $10. I just hope they get a shipment soon.
