Call Amazon and they'll cancel the order immediately.

I just spoke to a live chat agent as well as a phone session earlier.  Both agents told me not to worry and that amazon will fulfill the order and get me the E9.  I made it clear Jack had said all the orders for the E9 were mixed up and actually for another model.  They were not very helpful and understandably so, as they didn't really understand what I was talking about even with links to jacks post.

They stressed amazon will handle it and I will not get the other cheaper model and that if the title had said the E9, I will get the E9 as fulfilled by Amazon as well as the D3 shipped by Micca.

Heh...okay...well hopefully things will work out.  Sorry to Jack at Micca, must be immensely stressful.  But, if amazon wasn't lying to me he shouldn't lose out on any money as both agents made it clear to me they will purchase an E9 from X distributor and ship it to me free.

Yea I saw this on Amazon ($28 fiio E9) and thought "Oh my god I am getting this...right after I eat lunch." When I came back from lunch it was gone from Amazon, and I thought I missed a deal of the year. Then I read this thread. *whew*

Anyway, I decided to try an E10 for now for my work rig (with the option to pair a stronger amp like the E9 later). Now I'm not sure if this is a noteworthy deal, but mp4nation is including free Brainwavz Beta IEMs with the purchase of an E10. Hopefully they are not out of stock. Nice little perk, you can never have enough IEM's! And if I don't like the Beta's, I'll give them to a friend as a gateway drug.

Lol, little do they know...that could be the most expensive free gift they ever received.

Are Sennheiser 448 at $50 considered to be a sale item or do they normlly can be found at this price ?
I gotta get them for a christmass present for my cousin, but wanna hold off till boxing day to see if something else will pop up at a good price, but don't want to miss them if they shoot back to $100.

Same a what I thought. I need a new rig with a 60 buck budget, and I saw these. I have been regales with tales of its flimsy build. However, at $50, that's a great deal. But will Black Friday give me a better price? I don't want to buy it now to be pissed in two weeks.

Guys, I think prices on the 448 have dropped since Sennheiser recently announced a relaunch of the old 4X8 line > new 4X9 line.

The new 449 will be available for $119.96

More info about what folks have been calling the re-shell here:

In other words, it may be a permanent price down instead of a sale.

Please do not purchase the E9 for this unrealistic price on Amazon, this is not a deal but another screw up on Amazons part, review the last two pages or so of this thread for details.  MP4Nation is a great retailer that really caters to the head-fi crowd, I would hate to see them take a financial hit for something Amazon can't get right.

Looks like it is fixed.

What a screw up.

Guys,

Here's what happened. About 10pm EST last night, Amazon for some reason, merged the listings of FiiO D3 and E9. The listing for the stand-alone D3 is simply gone.

From our back end, we see that all of the current orders of E9s at the $28 price are for the Amazon SKU for FiiO D3. So everyone that bout at this price will receive a D3, not a E9.

Needless to say, there will be a lot of frustrated and angry customers. I myself am flabbergasted as to how this could have happened. No doubt,  many of you will choose to return the D3 instead of keeping it. All I ask is that if you do return it, please keep it in unopened condition. While this is not our fault, and we at least have not sold hundreds of E9's at $28 a piece including shipping, we do still stand to lose a significant amount of money from all of the fees and returns.

We are in contact with Amazon to get all of this sorted out.

Jack

Edit: further evidence that this is an Amazon screw-up is that even UK and DE amazon websites are affected.

Sennheiser HD-419 is on sale at Best Buy for $40 ($20 off). You can check their website and see if your local store has a pair and do store pickup.

I had two $5 Reward Zone coupons and got them for $30!

Pads are kind of small, but they don't sound too bad after 10 minutes of use. Pads are made out of cloth and not pleather.

They have a lot more bass than the HD-428 it seems like. Anyone know what the HD-419 replaced?

Bass is kind of fatiguing, but they have no burn-in yet. Seems like it's lots of mid-bass.

I bet an EQ would really make these sound even better.

Nice!  It seems Sennheiser has in fact tweaked the sound of their HD400 line a bit just as they did with the recently revised HD500 line.  I might just checkout the HD449 when it becomes available.
