I tried checking Best Buy's web site for local inventory; the product listing still shows the $99 price for the Downtown model. However, trying to learn anything else leads to helpful messages such as "there was a problem and "your session has expired". I can't even get store hours.
 
So I drove across town, about fifteen miles, to find they're not discounted at the local store. The floorwalker said he didn't know anything about a sale and offered to get a manager for me. I declined, politely as it's not his fault, because I'd had enough of Best Buy nonsense.
 
This isn't the first time local management has demonstrated incompetence. No wonder corporate's profits are down 91% from last year.
