Probably not the Sonys. The ANC on that model is pretty usesless and if you're going to use ANC and mess with the overall sound, it might as well work. You can look into the MDR-NC40 for a cheap ANC headphone. They're not worth it at their MSRP of $100, but I found mine for about ~$30. Comes in handy if you're on a plain and want ANC.

how much better are the m50's over the monoprice 8323 for using it with a android phone? I don't have a dac yet and I'm wondering if the m50 is overkill. Mainly use it on the bus to and from work.
