they have open/damaged box items, and they have quite a few headphones.  they always have Etymotics, ultrasone, and if you check back daily you can get some akgs, sennheisers (i got the ie8s for 129), and beyers

Between those last two what's better?

Probably not the Sonys. The ANC on that model is pretty usesless and if you're going to use ANC and mess with the overall sound, it might as well work. You can look into the MDR-NC40 for a cheap ANC headphone. They're not worth it at their MSRP of $100, but I found mine for about ~$30. Comes in handy if you're on a plain and want ANC.

Thomann (Gemany, Austria, UK) nice part is if you buy more stuff, the shipping charge is still $37.
From Thomann, in one order, I bought the AKG K242HD, Superlux HD660, and three pairs of AKG K240/241/271 velour ear pads.
Cost me $245, took 6 day for shipping, same stuff would have cost me $368 from my North America internet retailer/sellers.

I can vouch for Thomann, thats a great site, and AKG deals are awesum, I bought 2x K242HD and 1x K142HD, and some other stuff. and the warranty is also sweet.

My resources are :
  1. Thomann.de
  2. headphonehk.com
  3. amazon.co.uk
  4. amazon.com
  5. ebay (not for headphones)
  6. and something else I cant quite remember.

All a pleasure to work with, although headphonehk (aka Kingsound) is quite dodgy, but who cares, you get your stuff, and it works.

mine are genuine, i have bought 3 items and they were all in new condition and worked properly.  However, the site does have some complaints so use discretion.

Musician's Friend and Guitar Center both have Friday the 13th sales for 13% off.

Musician's Friend: Coupon Code 13FRIDAY gets you 13% off a single item $139 or more
Guitar Center: Coupon Code FRIDAY13 gets you 13% off a single item $130 or more

They're essentially the same store and have identical stock, if I'm not mistaken. I think the codes are good thru the 16th.

One example: you can get the DT 770 Pro (80 or 250) for $173 with free shipping.

Philips CitiScape Downtown
Color is black, but it's actually brown. The only black on it is outside the ear cups.

$68.65 direct from Amazon
$67.99 from 3rd party (fulfilled by Amazon)
As low as $55.76 used from Amazon Warehouse Deals
The prices are two days old I think.

Seems like a good deal. Usually sells New for $100 or so.

Just a quick question. Buying Used - Like New from Amazon Warehouse Deals ARE NOT covered by Beyerdynamic's warranty? Asking only cause Brand New from Amazon are out of stock for a few weeks already and I can't find any authorized dealers deals while Amazon Warehouse Deals price is so tempting
