There's also the HM601LE + RE400 for $150 deal, but it remains to be seen if I can successfully Rockbox it and get it to accept a 64Gb card.

Well anyway, the $150 was a one-time price fluke from the same vendor who nearly a year later is offering it for close the same price... The likelihood of being burned from waiting is high.

Not that it much matters. I'm curious if, once the KXX arrives, if you feel it has even sound quality with the MA900. Have you managed to sell that yet?

I just said that maybe one of the reasons why so many pulled out of the lighting deal is because they probably saw that it was as low as 150 in Jan. In the beginning, there was about 70 percent already taken but then minutes later it dropped to 30 percent..then 50 then it drop back.
 
Evidently they were still reasoning if they should buy it or not. 30 dollars can usually buy 5 lunches lol
 
I also just said, if you already had them, you are better of just playing the waiting game and I actually wanted to say the X2 not the X1.
 
Well, I still have the MA900, I just havent really posted them up or anything lol. I dont know, I kind of dont want to let them go but then again I dont use them at all. The last time I use them was about 3 weeks ago and that was for an hour. they dont allocate even 5 or 6 hours of usage lol.
 
I am actually excited about the K7xx though. My first AKG, especially since I was willling to spend 340 plus on an akg k712.

64GB card should work, I have a 64GB micro SD (with SD card adapter) in mine.
 
I've been able to install Rockbox on it, but have encountered some theme (not a huge issue) and playback (a bigger issue) problems. I did speak to another member who says their Rockboxed 601LE doesn't have the same issues that mine has. I then posted on the Rockbox forums and a developer said it may be an issue with the current version of Rockbox. He'll be sending me a 'test build' that may fix the issues, but who knows.
