Consider the garage1217.com hybrid amps if you are set on tubes. I love my dt880 out of the Mojo, so that is another option. Schiit Magni does it justice too.

Yeah I'm actually pretty interested in tube amps… I bet Mojo is nice but it's kinda out of my price range. I really can't accept the 1217's look though. How about Vali 2 from Schiit?

Check the Vali 2 thread for m,ore info but the impressions i've read so far are all pretty good. Had a Vali 1 for a while and it drove my DT880's (600ohm) and sounded quite good. If your on a budget, the Vali 2 is a great option.

If you are in to a DIY project, I power mine with the bottlehead crack amp, and I think it works well.

I just got my DT880! But the packaging is kinda underwhelming, there's no seal, no serial number and no warranty card. I got it off amazon though, so should I return it and get one from Beyerdynamic?

Ok maybe I should add that I'm a poor college student lol... so I'm thinking Vali 2?.... Have you had any experience with that?
