DT-250s 250 Ohm arrived today. Tested it on my Line 6 guitar amp modeler and my Pioneer A-656 mark II Stereo-Receiver.
These headphones have a lot of bass. Maybe a bit too much. A bit boomieness in the 100hz area. I thought that was the problem of the 80 Ohm version.
Treble response is a bit recessed. Overall these headphones sound I would describe "warm". For comparison : I own the DT-770 pro 80 ohm and the AKG K-702. Both of them deliver more treble response. Mids are most on the DT-250 and much less on the 770s. The AKG 702's mids are in the middle of both.
the DT-250s 250ohm really not hard to drive. They are much louder than the AKG K-702 70 ohm and a little bit louder than the DT-770s 80 ohm. What a surprise!
