Why connecting ak240 to any other amp?

 
Well if already have an amp lying around might as well try pairing it with AK240.

Yeah, that's TTVJ Apex Glacier. I used to pair it with my FiiO X3 and AK120, but find its dimension too big for X3 and AK120 when stacking up. Just dig it out to pair with AK240. I'll do a bit of listening and see how good is the synergy. It used to enhance my AK120's SQ previously.

Thanks again for sending the 2.5mm TRRS connector. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow so I can solder it onto my Audeze balanced cable and listen to my XCs off the balanced output.
 
I may need to get a kobiconn connector from you; I believe I just sold my AK120, and I'm thinking about using a portion of the money to buy an RSA SR-71B in silver. This hobby is maddening!

I'm confused. Why can my Schitt Bitfrost work with either USB3 or USB2 connections but AKxxx DAPs won't work with USB3?  It's not a deal breaker but there are times on the road it would be convenient to use my AK as a DAC.

Wow.  It isn't with mine. I get sub-USB2 speeds when transferring music to all of my DAPs using multiple MACs.  I believe the AK and the X3 are all USB2 using the micro-connector.

I got myself some 8-conductor Mundorf gold/silver cables for JH/Fitear connectors. Also got a right angle 2.5 to 3.5 trrs adaptor to use these cables with my HM901. Balanced audio bliss
