@ Benny,
I'm flabbergasted. But well, if you found a new love, then may you be happy!
Thanks for all your help and your presence. We'll miss you here mate
@ Ericp,
I laughed while reading your post ^^ It's exactly what should not happen, but it happened to you. Yet, I'm glad you found a solution to the problem
I experienced the exact same thing (no filter: harsh sound, too much filter: muffled sound, and now a thin filter: better balance and clarity with no harshness), but at the moment, I'm not sure I'm gonna stick to it. Why? Well, because now, my SM3 sound like RE-252 with more bass (with visceral impact too). Is that a bad thing? Certainly not! Some might have been dreaming od such a thing^^ but I think I'd miss the in-house Earsonics sound signature. I'll do some more comparisons with/without filter (well, with home made filter actually), and then decide.
However, I'm very happy to have been able to try such a "mod" and see what a tiny bit of plastic can do to the sound! And I learned one more time how different dynamic phones and BA phones (with X-overs and multiple drivers) are.
@ Mark2410,
Glad to see you here! And as the others, I'm really looking forward to your impressions!
