Actual headphones. It sounds like if I want more bass that's my only option.

I might still get a set of earbuds for passive listening. Will probably order the Sunniva since Jim recommended me that for my music type.

Basked on what others have said, a tube amp might be a fun way to switch up the sound.

I own the OG Serratus, Ripples, Tantalus? (500ohms) and the Sunniva.
Is something like the Desolation a huge upgrade worth getting?

Ive heard all but Sunniva, and my SSBX is a one-off that's similar to the DS but more musical (probably more bass). Back when I had all these sets, SSBX sounded different and more refined, but we really need to acknowledge diminishing returns with earbuds at this price range.

My two cents: DS or DS BS will sound different to all of your sets. Is it worth spending the full retail? Hmm, it's tough. If you can find a used set, I'd say do it, but otherwise it's a lot of money for a minute but distinct step up.
