Ah I see, then you are in the same club as I - Waiting for the Ripples Club  I am enjoying the Serratus in the mean-time!
Ah! I just joined the "Waiting for Ripples" Club yesterday! Mine usually takes about a month to reach Vietnam so a long wait ahead! Meantime, have the tofino, alpha and serratus to keep me company!

LOL for a lark I decided to plug in my Serratus SS Bell earspeakers into my new M2 MacBook Air. They sound amazing. Haha!

Friend of mine loves using his Senn HD650 direct from the headphone out of his 2021 M1Pro Macbook Pro. I've never tried anything quite so high impedance-wise out of my M1Pro MBP, but he claims he has been pleasantly surprised by how well his MBP drives his HD650.

hi all!

has anyone compared the tgx earbuds to VE earbuds? I own a pair of 1st gen VE Zen earbuds, so I was wondering how these compare to them

thanks!

I have only VE master and monk, so I don’t know how much I can generalise.

The key difference, IMHO, is the subbass response. TGXear Serratus has deep subbass response and moderate midbass (you can adjust with foams). Both of my VE buds have big midbass and then roll off the subbass quickly, so the bass feels nimble but lacking physical impact.

You can go to my graph db in the signature and see for yourself. Don’t put too much faith to the rest of the graphs though.

thanks for the comparison! I have VE monk as well so I can compare the Zen against it to get an idea on how the bass regions will compare

Excited to see if anyone will have the opportunity to compare the newly released Venture Electronics Zen 3.0 with the TGXear lineup. Loved the VE gear, but TGXear have recently shown me that there are even better earphones available!

Nope but Asura 3.0 is definitely warm. And heavy!

I bought the Astell & Kern HC2 dongle since it is the most powerful dongle DAC that I am aware of and I also like A&K a lot (and wish I could afford their stuff).

The A&K HC2 with the TGXears Serratus is amazing. It feels like I am hearing these buds for the first time.
