Any comments on KK cables? They are on amazon.com.
I was looking at ordering a case and came across them. The cable is OFC vs OCC.

Any comments?

I bought this KK cable for 50$ - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C33DPC2/

The KK cable felt very plastic-like and microphonic. Can't comment much soundwise.

Also bought this cable for 40$ -

The cable is extremely soft and flexible. It feels like silk cloth. So far sounding great with the Vega. I was so impressed I bought 2 more cables.(Black 4.4 and Silver 3.5)

I realize that it is NOT the same quality as the Kimber, but it is a functional, balanced cable. I may indeed grab a $200.00 to $300.00 cable down the road, but I just want to try the balanced function for now.

Either way cheap or not, you should get a boost in SQ. you may even get a alternative cable from aliexpress.

I use the sony EX600 and EX1000 on my ZX300 in balanced mode, both require more power, about 80-85 in low gain. Whiles using the BD Xelento, it does not require you to turn up the volume in balanced mode, about 65-70 will do.

For me low gain to save battery.

Received my zx300a, have been running without a pause for the last 30 hours.

First thing I did with it was compare it to a friends Iphone X from the SE, which it complete floored. No contest at all, clearly not in the same league - we were quite shocked as we did'nt expect that kind of difference.

I've found it excellent with all earbuds I've thrown at it. And below 4.4mm jack I find is really solid quality:

Anyone else using zx300 with earbuds? I find it sounds fantastic with both emx500s (10$ !!) and Willsound mk2 rev2 (40-45$). Both are earbuds with a bit extra bass

Those earbuds that you call emx500, look like Sennheiser MX500. I have some pairs too. I recently bought the ZX300 too.

The one I'm referring to is called EMX500 (or EMX500s for silver cable) on aliexpress. I guess your Sennheiser is the original, but they don't have the driver in common - the mx500 shell has become the most popular for earbuds these years. The EMX is the most popular earbud ("value for money") for the last couple of years, and on the EA facebook group I just saw Charles write a long story about the history of the EMX500 (and its only 2 years old! :) ) If interested either search the earbuds thread, search the EA group or just buy the EMX500s with black shells, its really a no-brainer at around 10$ if you like a bit U-shaped signature with the most excellent subbass available in an earbud, and a huge soundstage.

Edit: sorry, I believe you need the EMX500 and a 4.4mm jack, because the EMX500s only have 3 wires going down to the jack (I know because I just found out after cutting the cable this weekend  But the EMX500 has all 4 wires)
