Before shelling out any money to get a PRIR done, you might want to wait and see what the Realiser Exchange has to offer. There are also publicly available PRIRs that people made (some using very expensive equipment) and posted for the A8 that if you're going to listen to stereo, should work just as well. Someone put them in a Dropbox folder. There was a post about it a few weeks ago.

I previously owned the A8 and I, unfortunately, was unable to achieve sufficient satisfaction using PRIRs made for others and placed in said Dropbox. While I enjoy OOYH software well enough, it too has similar limitations.

Having said that, I am open to seeing and trying out what the Realiser Exchange has to offer. I still anticipate, however, that absolutely nothing will prove to be equal to having my own PRIR. Also, per my most recent post, I would be absolutely thrilled to pay up to $1000 to have a PRIR made in an essentially cost no object listening environment of my own choosing. Speaking only for myself, that would make for an end game listening setup.

People on here pay more than that for flim flam of more dubious merit!

That's hard to tell, but apparently they will demonstrate the final commercial unit at CanJam Los Angeles 7-8 April next month.
There will be lots of impressions i believe as everyone is excited about it.
Good stuff, that's really close! :D

Can't wait for the reviews. I'm honestly not sure how this thing sounds because I've never tried it before, but like I said, if it's even better than a simple crossfeed function which Hugo2 has, then it's worth a purchase in my book!

What would you like to know? Quite a few of us here have listened to the prototype. I listened to an A16 last year at CanJam. I could only tell the difference between the 16 speaker system and the A16 after several minutes
The only real difference I could perceive between the 2 was that somehow the bass felt slightly punchier through the headphones. Other than that the perception of sounds above my head and behind me to the sides of me....all we'e where I'd heard them when I was listening to the 16 speaker system

When can we expect the first review to come out?
Of course these are not "complete and professional reviews" of the production ready product, but did you already see that several members of this forum wrote about their experiences with the prototype demo?

For example Fox1977:

And me myself:

Edit:
Or costas23:

("THAT was the moment where my jaw just dropped" very nicely put)
