The TEAC that I use is a transport: 701-T. Below it is Musician Taurus DAC (R2R in NOS mode).

Owing that I see your posted images on the various orientations of your gear on every other page, I was more interested in the Teac CD player and your thoughts on it.

The VRDS 701 player is certainly as well built as the 701-T. TEAC uses its own proprietary delta-sigma chip in the DAC portion of 701. If I were in the market for a CD player, this could be the one - after an audition.

Somewhere down the line I'm going to have to replace my 20-year-old Rotel and was checking out the VRDS 701T (Transport) as I don't need another DAC).

So, for me, since I don't need the DAC portion the 701-T (Transport only) is more appealing (less expensive too). Was just wondering what you thought of the CD side only.

I'll check out some online reviews.
