yes a slot for one of those gum stick ssd’s would have been great

It is strange how modern & BIG DAP have only one slot while my AK100, the FIRST A&K's DAP has TWO microSD slots !! and it was a really small DAP.

Could that AK100 hold two 1 terabyte cards , or two 512 gig cards ? Or only two cards below 252 gigs ? The newer AKs only have one sd slot.

bouuuuuu .
Maybe if its successful enough, more storage can be put into the "DAP" module? Im really not sure what that thing implies.
Whether the DAP is gonna be able to be used as source without the M30 (meaning it has its own internal battery, DAC/amp and H/O) or its just strictly module with no battery to speak of, just carries the processing power to handle the music library (which is slotted in the M30? Or the dap itself?) without actually being able to do anything without the M30, as the DAP, Amp and heck H/O is on a different modules from it.
Which makes it look more like a glorified display only?

If it is, why not make the display wireless than making it stuck to the body of the M30? Would the M30 work without the DAP module as a normal standalone DAC/AMP then? With simple playback options and control from on body buttons etc, like iDSD?

If its actually a fully functional (or half functional, as in it only carry processing unit, storage, and maybe wireless func, whether its wifi&/or bluetooth to control the M30 wirelessly, connecting it to the Wireless module) dap tho, maybe adding more SD cards into that module in the future would be possible in the future.

Can it be used as a pre amplifier to be used with speakers?

Most likely yes.

Only storage in unit itself is small build in memory in digital player module, then there is SD card slot and USB connectors on the main core.

Digital player module should include only system, CPU, RAM, screen. It's just digital player if you wish to use M30 as standalone all-in-one unit, it's not designed to be fully working portable player you can take away from M30.

M30 should work without this module, just feed it signal through its other inputs.

Does that mean it cant play the files in the sd card or attached usb hard disk when there's no DAP module?

Can you run Tidal or Spotify on this?

With Android digital player module, you should have access to all these streaming services.
