I just received my review pair and they sound great but my left side is significantly quieter than my right side.

You will have the same problem with everyone of the UE 6000s. No matter what, they will sound like that. I returned three pairs and all of them were the same. I found it so unbearable that I had to get a refund.

Is the cable terminated with 4 connectors on it? And were use using a standard TRS out jack?

I don't know about channel imballance problem but UE6000 don't sound right with cable provided when used with non-iDevice, just press and hold middle button on the remote to hear the difference or make sure you didn't insert the plug all the way in but still have both channels working.

Yes it had the channel imbalance when it was plugged into my MBP, but when I plugged it into my Galaxy Note and my audio interface, it worked fine. I don't know what it could be.

I am thinking it might have something to do with the cord.. Iphone control devices may cause the imbalance. They should just throw in a non phone control cord. I use my cord from my M-80 and I never have an issue with imbalance. Considering these were made with Idevices in mind.

Try out other cords if you guys have them.

I just received a pair of UE6000 and noticed the channel imbalance too. Switched the stock cable to a V-Moda cable and M-Audio cable and it`s still there: The left headphone is fainter than the right. I will burn it in further to see if it disappears.

Too bad. I was diggin the warm sound. These cans can definitely punch and purrr. They remind me of the dark-sounding Fidelio L1 but less V-shaped in the mids and cleaner bass extension. The soundstage is on the medium side and doesn`t really increase in depth or width when amped (RxMKII, E11), though an amp will help with volume level. (I reach 80-90% on my Ipod classic.)

I got the last 9000 at my local apple store about a week ago.

Thinking about returning it though.

I love/hate this headphone passion.  Some songs sounds better on one headphone.  I can't make a decision which one i'm keeping
