So I have a pair of custom Fir M5 and I love them , was thinking of getting something new , can anybody recommend something for me , a bigger stage better treble end slightly less bass than the M5 . My dap is the sp2000 SS . I wanted to try the VE Elk but looks like that is sold out now .
Hummm looks like you’re after something a little more neutral - by better treble do you mean more of a focus on the upper treble?

Also are you looking at going for another custom or universal?

Yes you’re right, something neutral. The M5 treble doesn’t bother me too much, but I’ll appreciate an improvement. I’ll prefer universal

Maybe the EE Odin? I know there is a upper midrange peak to it, if you're not into it then Noble Sultan or the Rhapsodio Infinity MK2.

I was thinking the Sultan might do really well, and its treble is IMHO, spectacular. The Elysium might fit that bill quite well too, though from what I’ve been hearing the Infinity is a bit of an Elysium 2.0

The Erl would be a really good option too though, but you’d have to find one used for that :/

@aaf evo

Hes got a custom M5 so he can probably add some additional insights into something more neutral.

+1 on Odin and Infinity MkII being more neutral than the universal M5, at least. The latter isn’t a dynamic driver though so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a similar, “moving air” bass

Odin IMO. Similar to the M5, more open sounding, not as warm, thinner presentation overall, more extended in both ends. Both iems have that upper midrange peak.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll be going to harrods tomorrow to listen to the Odin. Not sure where to find a dealer for the other two here in the Uk
The Harrods has a hifi store? What? Damn if I knew when I last visited London..

The last shot looks like something out of The Mandalorian. Just watched episode 1 of season 2. Epic!

Lol dang, nice. It certainly surpasses most setups! Was the IEM bug contagious?
She’s 13 and for her last birthday she asked for a DAP :D I’m pretty sure she’s hooked!

It’s just a matter of time until we start seeing some review posts by her on here hehe
