Were they placed on your grandma's sofa for the pic?

Sup, dawgs.

So some months back I pick up my SR325is after a couple weeks of not using and found myself thinking, "Hmm, I thought these had more clarity, maybe it was just me."

Then last month, I treated the plug with Deoxit and suddenly they go from average clarity to outstanding. The sound becomes a bit cleaner, too. I also noticed a slight brown stain on the plug while cleaning, and I can't get it off. Slight oxidation? Would it be a good idea to re-terminate my headphone with a Neutrik NP3X? FP704?

I made the following mods to my recently purchased pair of grado sr80i's, recabled it with a set of headphone cables salvaged from my absolutely horrible sounding ducky headphones and cut a hole about the size of a quarter in the earpads and reversed it, beautiful sounding cans, much more portable now, after these mods, my portapro can't compare...

Sure it's no psycho-acoustic problem?

I doubt it, not even my two-year-old AD700's showed such a drastic difference. I've had SR325is since August of '09.
Deoxit cleaned up the sound slightly with AD700, otherwise didn't do much. I never wear my SR325's forward as is sometimes recommended here. For me, it muffles up the sound, but that was not the problem here. I'm a little disappointed with Grado's cabling. I think any further problems would be avoided by re-terminating with an NP3X, right? Or wrong?

Hey guys, I'm having a problem trying to replace the grilles on my SR80i's.

I got most of the grille out, but a few bits are stuck to the inside of the cup. How can I take these off?

I've tried Goo Gone, freezing them, and prying with pliers and a hobby knife but it's not coming off. Short of a Dremel what could I use?

I had to use a dremel to clean it up as much as possible, and then when I pushed the new grill in... I put a dimple in the center and it looks great!
