I did some research, it's not the PX-100 but the PX-100 II. The PX-100 kind of sucks; the PX-100 II is a completely different animal. Question is what will be the gain soundwise if you put it in a Grado kind of enclosure. There will be differences for sure. I only read at a forum that it's so great, but not what specifically changes.
I would like to give it a try, but do not want to spend much on it, may be €20. Might do the milling of the wood myself (or buy it as a 3d printed part that I once saw at Aliexpress but not any longer) and buy the other parts through our Chinese friends (as well). But I would prefer to see some measurements first. I read that a guy couldn't hear any difference between his Grado 325 (can't remember what letter followed) and the SennGrados.
About your remark about the 3D printed cups, you can find those files at the internet; but the shape is so easy to draw, it will cost me no more then 1 - 5 minutes to make such drawing. So if you want a file and you have something specific to add you can send me a sketch and I can make you a drawing too. And if you think that wood is especially needed for the sound (not that I believe this is true), remember that you can have it printed in mostly wood fiber as well.
