It works with pretty much all low impedance cans I've tried... I'm a huge grado and audio-technica fan so I've gone through a lot of different phones on this cheap little amp... Its simply amazing how good it is for the price.

I understand this Is really not the correct thread for this but, have you ever listened the the Magni/Modi?
The reason I ask is because I own both the Shiit and the LD1+, and I'm curious to hear your experience with the Magni/Modi, if you've ever heard them.

I own both and I actually hate the Magni with low impedance cans... too much gain, and with Grado's it makes them extra bright... the Modi is a solid little piece of kit, I love it for what it does... fairly transparent, cheap and presents itself well. Good instrument separation, sound staging, imaging, and a fairly flat sound (maybe on the bright side of neutral) The LD1+ is quite possible the best cheap amp for low impedance cans ever... roll some tubes, maybe swap an opamp and you can pretty much tailor the sound to your tastes.

I've been looking at them and for a cheap and small amp the shipping is close to $50...how much do these things weigh?

Shipped from a china warehouse, and not in big quantities....
