I'm based in Hong Kong. There is a company called Widex that makes them (and for most universals that will fit). I had them glued onto the Universals as they tend to slip off (and are easily lost). I have custom Roxannes. The Silicone earpieces take a bit longer to put on, but provide a better seal and are more comfortable. The player is an AK SP1000.
I've been looking into this for universals since I've gotten addicted to customs and there's really no going back. I've seen Snugs and Westone do something like this. Where did you have these made, and do you notice any difference in comfort/sound quality with these vs true customs? I've read that others only seem to enjoy the added comfort, longevity (vs disposable tips) and possibly a better seal.
Hi, I recently received the Massdrop Noble K10’s which are excellent but was hoping some of the good head-fi users on this thread here can help me out with some Noble related questions:
1. What is th purpose of the bar across the opening of the Noble blue base silicon tips? Does it impact the sound in a certain way?
2. I noticed what I would think is sibelance in some songs. Not sure if this is true Sibilance or if I never noticed on other iems/cans (iSine20, SE535, Noble X, Elear, HD650) since they may not extend that high and my ears just aren’t accustomed to it. Will some of this “sibilance” dissipate with use? Can anyone recommend some songs or artists that would be good tests for sibilance?

1. Not sure I noticed the bar doing anything whether in front or away from the vents. Could be due to strength but non issue for me.
2. I don’t have the K10 but I have the Dulce Bass, Savant, Encore and the Katana. The “sibilance” you hear will disappear with burn in. They all extend high with treble but the Wizard tunes it just below the threshold even on the Katana which exemplifies all the treble all day. Give it like 50 hours and then come back. All those 5 star reviews on the K10 wouldn’t be there if there truly was sibilance.
My Encore CIEMs are scheduled to arrive on the 14th. Posting the pics I received from the lab.
Looking forward to using them on my trip to see Dead and Company at Playing in the Sand in the Yucatán. Fortunately, they’re arriving the day before the trip! Thanks!
