Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I have been waiting for a product like the BTS to drop for, oh, I don't know.... A decade or so? I probably couldn't have put it into words very eloquently, and I certainly would not have been able to draw up technical specs. But the concept is something I have dreamed about since forever ago.

And now Noble has the technical advancements available to really do it right. AptX sounds excellent in my experience, and the BTS has a 1 ohm (or is it lower? I forgot already) output impedance. Looks perfect to me!

The output impedance of the BTS is in fact less than 1 ohm, which makes it ideal for use with IEMs and CIEMs!

Oh and don't get me started on the Noble One..... The price of those raw drivers alone is more than most people spend on their entire speaker setup. Should be killer.

Yes, not to rain on a the parade, but sound quality, to $ ratio for portable audio is far better when compared to non-portable gear.

also important to note....

We have gotten 7 hrs of battery life with the BTS, while connected to a pair of K10 CIEMs.

Also, just another neat feature, is "battery status" is displayed when connected to an Iphone or Ipad :)

As I said before, we like to Zig while others Zag.

The BTS and the Noble One have been fun projects for sure.  (That being said the Noble One has been over a year in the making and a lot of sleep was lost over it) and for those that were worried that the K10 would be replaced.

The Noble One is not a replacement to the K10.  Not unless you want to carry 120 lbs of monitors around, an amp, sound source and a generator.

Yes, do not expect them to be cheap by any means. The drivers being used are some of the absolute best available at any price, bar none. Now go look at top models from big names like Wilson, TAD, Focal or Dynaudio. Even limiting it to monitors instead of enormous towers, things ramp up very quickly in price. It's just necessary given the parts and construction.

I don't think Noble aims to sell a ton of these speakers. It seems to me more like a proof of concept type thing, which may lead to further developments down the road - possibly some less extreme models too. But I'm just guessing here so don't treat this as anything more than me rambling. Maybe they sell hundreds of sets for all I know! I'm just impressed they even took the idea all the way - anyone remember the Audeze speakers from a few years back? They were at some shows and then disappeared never to be heard from again.

That said, for the music lover with a large budget, the Noble One sounds promising. Given Noble's track record for craftsmanship, you can bet these monitors will be built to standards few others can match. Same deal with sound quality.
