Nice!  Can't wait to see a pair in person.  They look like they are similar to the burgundy in one respect - they look nice in pictures, but pictures don't do them justice.  I bet they are stunning!

I was interested in the red alpha dogs, but the glossy like type finish of the black alpha dogs looks better. I am definitely going to place my order in the next couple of months.

In glossy, I prefer the red version, personally. And that comes from someone whose wardrobe is darker than a politician's heart.

+1. The matte black looked flat and rather dull IMO. The gloss black has a more distinctive character, less incognito.

To each their own though, my deep burgundy Alpha's are da' bomb.

I prefered the Matte black ! But it is a matter of personal taste.
So Since the Matte black is not available I will get a Red one. (and...Since I already own à TH900, With some luck, m'y wife may not notice I bought another headphone

it had better be a good colour match, wives may not be great at headphones but they can have a remarkable eye for colour...
