Do your own research and find out if it is a good match. Like I said, it is a great amp especially for its used and sale price, but the lack of power for me was an issue. I personally would like more headroom with the MD. If you want to stay Burson (good company) try the Soloist or Soloist SL. It is the successor to the now discontinued HA-160.

I'm considering the GD Audio 11.32 w/o an audition...it has gobs of power and is spoken quite highly of....I don't know if anybody has used it with the MDs, though. It's at the top end of my price range, but perhaps I'll wait and see if anything else turns up on this thread.

I found their website, and that is the figure they list. Correct me I'm wrong, but that qualifies as gobs of power, no?

Another derp moment for me. You have the 15.32. Does having that much power at your disposal really make them sound significantly better than something puny, like my E17, or is it more like a "I can sort of hear a difference" type of change? I'm looking for a very favorable price/sound improvement ratio. Basically, how little can I spend to make my jaw drop by improving my amp/dac?

Was it an "a-ha" moment, or just ho-hum. I swear they sound pretty good with an E17, but if the 11.32 or 15.32 really delivers, I'll have to pick one of them up.

Can we add 4-Pin Headphone jack amp to the suggestions?  I have some 4-Pin XLR Fostex Mod's coming to me that were used.  I see manufacturers are extremely proud pricewise of their 4-pin balanced amps.  Is there a lower priced 4-Pin amp out there?  I don't mind used...  Have they been making these 4-pin amps for a years?  One more thing, will it really make a difference if I get a 4-pin or just a decent amp with a 1/8" jack.  I just got a Garage1217 Starlight that's setup to power my headphones.  Jeremy at Garage1217 was GREAT to work with, and he loves and is very familiar Dan's Mr. Speaker headphones!! 
 
When I get the headphones, I'll let you know how they sound.
