Place I saw them said 2 years above the listing, but official UK site...
"We cover 3 years for the drivers and 2 year for the rest of the parts"

Well...to someone who doesn’t know what he means by deadest sound amp...well...would be nice if reviewers didn’t just assume everyone knows the lingo.

I don’t see a review of the D90 from him but I found no negative reviews of the D90...so I picked it up.

the Chord Qutest is on my list and so is the RME ADI-2. Eventually...for now...I don’t have a dac and I needed something.
Also...not for nothing but I don’t take all of the reviews as gospel. I like hearing people’s POV but I use to review things on YouTube and can say for sure that reviews get too cozy with the people that make what they review.

I’m still trying to learn all the mumbo jumbo people use to describe sound. I think I have the basics...but again...never heard someone call a dac “dead” and ran into someone calling timber “plastic”...which I wasn’t able to find a definition of that. Feels like it’s hard to describe sound in video form.
I think the Qutest is better, but not by much, and noticeable only by using the most meticulous of testing methods. I had tested ten or more headphones using that DAC at a large shop in the South Bay, California, in 2018. The RME has a lot of gadgets that I have no use for, and that's why I had avoided it as I felt the power supply was inferior. I use JRiver for DSP and EQ, should I choose to do so.

Cheap DACs might sound tinny or shrill.. I don't call them "dead".

"Plastic" timbre is real. That's synthetic sounding music that sounds like it's been fed through a machine, not how the mastering engineer had intended it to be heard. That's why I had sold my HiFiMan Aryas, and got LCD-3s instead. The former had a hollow quality to the midrange that I hadn't liked, especially with female vocals. I may try the LCD-XC now that it's been updated; the LCD-3 hadn't changed for years, and the LCD-X is the better deal, anyway.

From discord:

Audeze will be releasing FR graphs for the models with the new pads next week! Another fantastic example of Audeze listening to their customers.

Wish they went with those cool magnesium shells on LCD-24...looks really really cutting edge.

Also, currently looking out for a used 2021 X if anyone got one in USA..and is moving it down the line...complement my woodie XC.

I wonder how much difference there is in weight betwixt the different shells. I like the look of my shedua LCD-2s, but prefer the sound of my LCD-Xs.

Mark.

708g to 612g is quite an improvement indeed. I am yet to hear the sound differences though.

The stretch of the headband leather by time is indeed an issue. I punctured new holes on my leather strap and ordered a new strap from Audeze when I sold my latest LCD.
I've had headbands stretch over time before as well, so then I've just punched new holes, but as this was on a brand new set I contacted Audeze support.

Just sold my 2021 LCD-XC. Not sure what to do next. I found the XC to have way to much air for me as I'm really treble sensitive.

Was thinking either a 2021 LCDX or a 2021 LCD2 Rosewood.

I'm looking for a warm tilt with bass boost but also want something with good resolution.

Idk, 2021 X still has a lot of air. Dunno about LCD2 but would assume it has a sig that's more similar than different.

Have you looked into Clear MG? Your description is pretty much exactly how i'd describe it.
