Yup - just threw on 2pac's All Eyez on Me.  "Can't C Me" and "Shorty Wanna Be a Thug", among others, sound awesome on these cans - crisp vocals and hard hitting bass.

Listen to my recently modded again and I have to say, there is no lack in bass.  Its not super bass, but it is there and tight.  Listen for about 2 hours last night and I must say, the music was more engaging then when I had my HD650.  I'll keep it as it for now with the Silverstone on top of the bass vent.  Glad I took the plunge to modded it, was too afraid to open it up before since I'm not much of a DIY'er.  But this was easier then I expected.  Oh yea, also ordered 2 cables from V-Moda and a 1/8 to 1/4 gold adapter for $25 shipped to Canada, thanks for the tip on the cables ambchang!!!

Dang I was late to it! atl5, it seems you originally wanted coiled cables? V-Moda will be releasing coiled cables sometimes in the near future... Probably along with the M-100 or something. Speculations on my part, but they are coming, confirmed by Val.

Thanks for the heads up!  I'm good with either coil or straight, but that was the only replacement I can see in Canada.  As long as its not 10ft like the orignal cables and I can take them out, I am happy.  Ordered a red and a black/gray one, both looks good in some of the pictures I saw. Will order a coil one if it is $10 in the future to add to collection! :-)

I feel your pain. Montreal may be among the separatists but heck, Canadian it is lol.

I was waiting to order some V-MODA cables too but ever since the notice, I'm going to wait and see what's all those new 'non-headphone' stuff they said they'll add to their store. I don't fancy coiled cables so much for their weight but definitely not out of the equation.

To those that actually seal completely/partially their vents, would there be a big audible difference if the seal is done in the interior or exterior of the cups? I'd think not, but personally, I don't hear much of a change... or rather can't grasp what the small change is. That is, when I try taping up the exterior with a nice seal.

On a side note, if anyone can recommend me a track very prone to sibilance I would be very grateful! :D

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Otherside

Sibilance within the first few seconds...particularly on the word "slide" (mixed in with some distortion!).

Couple quick questions, I bought these headphones partially modded then added a few of my own, it has some strange textured tape over the driver, anyone know what it is and how it would affect the sound? I see most people having some see-through white fur over theres:

And how would the felt being partially ripped on the underside of the pads affect sound?
